I liked that there was a fridge that we could keep things in, and that it was close to St Mark’s. I didn’t like that there was no A/C in October. They shut it off the week before we got there for six months. We had to keep the windows open overnight to be cool enough to be able to get to sleep, which made it a bit noisy and then too cold in the am, so my husband got sick. It’s also a maze to get to your room. Convoluted steps up, then down, then down, then up again. I would get lost each time, and stairs really hard with luggage. I travel a lot in Europe, so it wasn’t uninformed or unreasonable expectations. It’s just not as good as other places I’ve stayed.
