Great location

Good location right in the heart of everything. The staff could be friendlier and clean the rooms more thoroughly. Would book again.

Trinita pier isn't the best. Located well for most things without being too noisy.

Hotel Torino

Posted 06-Jan-2017
The location is excellent. A quick walk from the Alilaguna drop off point of San Giglio its ideal. The Hotel entrance could be easily missed so make sure you look up pics before you head off. The staff were lovely and welcoming, we arrived early and left our bags at reception whilst we set off and started exlporing Venice. When we got back, they had already taken them to our room, lovely. The room was tiny but clean and warm. The bathroom was new and great. The beds could do with a mattress cover as you could feel every spring and perhaps some softer pillows but to be honest, we walked so much every day that we slept well anyway. The only thing to note is that the walls are pretty thin between rooms so you hear everything going on next door...New Years Eve in the room next to us was a little too much to listen to :( The lovely young lady who handles the breakfast room is amazing. She handles everyone (all languages and personalities) with good grace and excellent service. She makes a great espresso as well. Hotel Torino is great for someone looking for a clean room for a good price in a great location. If you like lounging in your room, maybe not for you however, your in Venice so get out and absorb this beautiful city.

Hotel room was separated from the hotel lobby

Posted 09-Nov-2016
Pros: The location is closed to San Marco Square, luxury designer brands.
Cons: The hotel room was separated from the hotel main lobby, the staff guide us to the corner of the street to access the room unit with no concierge. It is more like a local residential unit on the 2nd floor. Felt not safe as a tour in a creepy street corner without concierge. The room was including a breakfast which is served at 7:30am, we have to leave the hotel around 7:15am and was planning to forgone the complimentary breakfast. However, we saw a guest eating inside the dinning room and asked if we can enjoy the breakfast as the other guest did. The staff refused us with reason he didn't want to break the rule. Didn't want to argue with the staff for a breakfast but rather left a review here to express my disappointment with a hotel with double standard and lack of flexibility for travellers. The hotel room was outdated and need quite a lot of repair.

Great location, but Hotel needs work

Posted 09-Oct-2016
Pros: Location.
Cons: Rooms were small, nowhere to store items, poor service.
Location: It is near San Marco in the center of Venice
This hotel is very well located between San Marco and the Accademia, but the hotel itself needs lots of work. There were some annoying problems...no place to put personal items in room, shower, and bathroom. The hairdryer in the bathroom was burnt out and a fire hazard. The breakfast room was tiny and it was hard to eat breakfast. On the plus side the hotel is in the middle of Venice, yet is very quiet. The entire hotel needs a mako er.
