Fabulous location excellent public spaces delicious breakfast but all the rooms old fashioned and bathrooms urgently require refit. . Bathrooms with showers have dangerously slippery shower floor surface with no side bars. This hotel could be paradise with much thought and a modest maintenance budge. Good luck!!!

Great service by staff. Especially the Concierge. The boat shuttles to San Marco and back are complimentary and run ever 30 minutes from 8:05 a.m. to 11:35 a.m.

Marvelous experience, great rooms and beach. Excellent service to Piazzo San marco. Somewhat limited breakfast buffet but all good quality food. Looking forward to coming back. A room upgrade would be great !

This is a beautiful property and you will be comfortable during your stay. However, if you are hoping for a 'taste of Italy' you won't get it. It feels like a cookie-cutter resort that could be anywhere in the world. If you are already familiar with the Venice area and are looking for a beach getaway, it is perfect. However, it is removed from Venice and there isn't much to do nearby. There is a complimentary water taxi service to San Marco which is convenient, but you are not allowed to take luggage on the water taxi.

Best hotel on the Lido
Lovely classic period hotel and the best place to stay on the Lido. Great swimming pool, restaurants and pool service. Right on the beach too. Rooms are classic and comfortable, the public areas cool and stylish. And, with the free boat transfer every 30 mins, you can be in the Piazza San Marco for lunch, dinner or shopping, any time you like. I’ll certainly be coming back again.

everything was good except the shuttle service. the consierge failed to mention that it fits only 12 people! and the shuttle runs every 30 min. So usually it was completely full even if we arrived 10 min before departure, the water taxi to Venice costs 80-100 euro depending on the time of the day so you are basically stuck or ripped off! take that in to consideration when booking this hotel.

We were very happy that we had a balcony and a beautiful room. A beautiful hotel, lovely swimming pool, right on the beach. It’s expensive to eat and drink there but only to be expected as it is a five star hotel and worth every penny to have your own boat to take you to and from Venice from a beautiful canal right from the hotel. Would go there again we loved it.

Over priced
This hotel is way too over priced for what they offer. The building is awesome but a good refresh is needed and therefore it’s not worth the price they sell the room. You can expect to pay for every single thing you might need. For a seaside hotel you cannot have a sunbed on the beach for free, they request to pay for a cabana on the beach for a ridiculous price. The price of the drinks are so expensive!! Being used to 5* hotels worldwide, we didn’t feel like one. Pretty sure it was amazing years ago but it really needs a good refresh and the service needs to be improved. + the concierge are great!

Amazing location - can’t fault the staff or level of service. Boats into Venice from hotel are excellent. My only criticism would be why do the drinks and food during the day have to be changed at such a overpriced rate - not many people eating and drinking during the day suggest a lower rate would encourage people to eat and drink. Appreciate that it’s a 5 star hotel but it’s just day light robbery!

Lido Luxury
One of the nicest hotels we've stayed at. You can tell this is where "the celebrities stay" when in the area. Very classy, great pool, comfy beds, etc. But....it IS pricey. Which is kind of what you expect at a place like this, I understand that, but we ended up going out to some great restaurants for dinner instead of staying for dinner at the hotel. Pool bar prices are also very high. So just be aware of that. You certainly don't got a place like this to SAVE money, but the food/drink prices were over the top, even vs already-pricey Venice. Chairs by the pool are free, and you can get free towels to sit on the beach, but beach chairs/cabanas are pricey too. So, to future travellers, I'd say yes, I'd stay there again, but be prepared for the extras or plan on other arrangements.

Lovely historic hotel could use a few updates
This is a gorgeous historic hotel 100% worth staying at. Front desk not the warmest and they should really get rid of the wall hair dryers straight from the 70s. At the Savoia in Trieste they have GHD hair dryers in each room and it’s a four star hotel.
