quiet place on small street, easy walking to Rialto Bridge, San Marco Square, Academia, just about any place. Small room with small window, but who stays in room?

nice little hotel without tourists

Posted 14-May-2017
Pros: quiet hotel and not noisy with young tourists.good location for walking everywhere . great breakfast.
Cons: outdoor signage into the narrow alley would have greatly impproved locating the hotel. friendly local helped.
Location: difficult to find -but that is Venice. good to walk everywhere and easy to reach the Gigliot vaporetto stop.
finding the hotel was not easy but lmany locals helped. \i walked from the Gigliot vaporeeto and findally located the hotel.\\i needs to have a sign out into the alley as it's far down a long narrow alley.

Not what I would call a 4 star hotel

Posted 11-May-2017
Pros: Near the Grand Canal. Very quiet.
Cons: Mosquito screens on the windows. Re-furnishing, re-carpeting. Better coffee and fresh orange juice.
Location: Good location, quiet. Easy to get to all the sights.
A little disappointed in this hotel. Very expensive. Not what I would call a 4 star hotel. Room was tired and shabby. Bathroom nice but set right behind the bed with only a screen between so not very private. Balcony was divided between the room next door and no outside seating provided. My partner we think was attacked by mosquito bites even though it wasn't the season for them. Screens should be provided on the windows. We requested another room but none available so we went to another hotel, also 4 star which was so much better, Hotel Duodo.

Hotel Dei Dragomanni 10 mins from St Marks Square

Posted 02-May-2017
Pros: Very close to St Marks Square and 5 mins from Giglio water taxi stop.
Cons: The restaurant suggested by reception wasn't great which was disappointing.
Location: Set back from canal but some rooms have a view, easy access to Giglio water bus stop, St Marks Square is within 10 mins walking distance.
Helpful staff and nice room with view of grand canal. Continental breakfast was enough to keep you going and room service very reasonable considering the location.

Nice room overall!

Posted 30-Apr-2017
The rest was all wonderful except the AC doesn't work. It was so hot in the we had to open the windows. Mosquitoes made there way in and disturbed our night. Breakfast was excellent!!

Great location

Posted 27-Apr-2017
Pros: The location
Cons: Tea/coffee facilities, less noise in the morning
Location: Short walk to waterbus stops, shops and major attractions.
Hotel was ok, but quite noisy, rooms could do with tea/coffee facilities, did find out reception would have gave us a kettle on the day we were leaving, bed was slightly uncomfortable due to being 2 single pushed together, was unable to open the French doors for any air, and our view was of across the alley, arm span away, of people's shutters. Everyone who worked at the hotel was very polite and helpful, even down to printing our boarding passes off for us.

Nice hotel in great location

Posted 23-Apr-2017
Very nice hotel though difficult to find, a sign outside would be useful. Hotel is in a fantastic location to explore venice. Staff are friendly, breakfast is very good and rooms are ideal for a city break.
