Great location

Posted 29-May-2016
This hotel is tucked away down a side street, within 10 minutes (ish) walk from St Marks Square. Your are close to everything you would want to walk to and there is a jetty right at the end of the street should you want a water taxi and 5 to 10 minutes walk to a waterbus route. The rooms are very spacious, clean and laid out well with nice decor. The bathroom is a brilliant size and has a nice big bath and large powerful shower. My only very minor negative is there is no tea or coffee making facility in the room, but trust me that is a very minor point. Breakfast is lovely with a great selection of continental breakfast food and is served until a very decent time in the morning. The hotel staff are very polite and helpful, without being over bearing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Venice, it is in a great location, but just far enough away to have the window open all night without hearing any noise from the street.

Good hotel, quiet location

Posted 26-May-2016
Pros: Within walking distance of the main sights but in a quieter location
Cons: Better air conditioning
Location: Alilaguna waterbus stops at San Maria del giglio, which is 2 min walk to hotel. St Mark's Square is 10 walk.
Hotel was in a good location. Spent 3 nights here for our wedding anniversary, all the main sights within easy waking distance. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly, our room was compact but had all the facilities we required. The only downside was the air conditioning didn't cool the room, maybe this was because of the high ceilings but I think the temperature would be uncomfortable in high season. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Lovely quiet hotel

Charming little hotel in a very convenient location for St Marks, the Rialto and the Accademia, set in really quiet street just a few yards from the Grand Canal. We had room 23, a deluxe on the 3rd floor. It looked out across the street with just a glimpse of the canal if we opened the window, but was very quiet, comfortable and stylish, and quite spacious. Very well appointed bathroom with separate bath and shower. Well stocked continental breakfast buffet, although the room is quite small and you may have to eat in the bar/lounge area opposite. Staff very helpful - we had emailed the hotel beforehand and our room was ready when we arrived at about 12.30. Tip 1: If you can, do take a private water taxi from the airport - the hotel's location makes this such a convenient way to arrive but gives the added benefit of the most marvelous views of the Grand Canal, far better than you will ever get from the crowded vaparettos. Tip 2: Get up before breakfast one day at least to see St Mark's Square and the waterfront before the crowds arrive.

Hotel accueillant, calme au cœur de San Marco

Dommage que le tri sélectif ne soit pas prévu dans l'hôtel afin de participer à la sauvegarde de Venise.

Charming hotel with amazing view

Posted 22-May-2016
Pros: This small hotel is central to everything in Venice. Huge marble jacuzzi tub was used every night and mini bar offered champagne, beer & soft drinks
Cons: Rooms are small, but it is a charming small boutique hotel. I would love to return.
Location: Central location near a dock available to water taxis (very important!). Take the Aviator tours of St. Mark's basilica & Dogges Palace - superb guides
From the train station, a water taxi dropped us just a few feet from the hotel entrance - no wrestling with luggage over the Venice bridges. Our room looked out over the Grand Canal and the Windows actually opened to the fresh breeze and sound of the gondoliers passing by singing the beautiful Italian songs. Very helpful staff.

Pros: Locatie, vriendelijkheid
Cons: Evt wifi signaal. Verder fantastisch
Location: Locatie centraal mn tov San Marco plein en buurten San polo/ San Croce. Alle activiteiten op loopafstand. Watertaxi's anders dichtbij.
Goed ontbijt. Wifi mogelijk maar iets zwak.
