Perfect location, perfect holiday
We were lucky to get a room looking towards S Giorgio Maggiore, the Salute and the Campanile (in fact, probably better views than from the Danieli). Opening the curtains in the morning to look across St Mark's Canal at these sights was simply stunning; this was my third visit to Venice, but by far the best. The hotel draws on a maritime theme, so there is lots of dark wood, with brass fittings everywhere, which gives a luxurious feel. The facade itself incorporates a church door which also adds to the character of the building. The breakfast room offered a good choice, with suitably relaxed opening hours.
