Big chain, lost its way and priorities...
We stayed for a few nights in Venice. The hotel is located on Guidecca - a Island across the biggest canal From the main Venice island area. There is a once off €6 per stay hotel shuttle service to San Marco that runs a few times an hour - but we learned about after we arrived by water taxi.
The hotel seems to be doing some upgrades that obviously had not quite filtered into the room we stayed in. It was neat, but tired. It wasn't their budget room, but there not many creature comforts - one thin pillow each, pay for wifi, pay through the eyeballs for mini bar and buffet breakfast...
Guest services were helpful, it is a big hotel and people did miss the shuttle bus due to crowds even in the off season.
There were some great cafes and restaurants close by that give you alternatives to the great looking restaurants in house if you're more budget conscious.
There was an odour that I am told is not unique to this hotel and is experienced right across Venice.
