US 5 atar hotel, theme and all ,a 10 minute boat ride every 15 min , from the Hussle and bussle. Super Italian restaurants, great lobby, nice stuff. Breakfast was amazing. Not for people who want to walk down to center straight of the door. If it was not an Hilton it's a W. For sure

Close to cruise ships!

Posted 01-May-2017
Enjoyed our 24 hour stay at this hotel before boarding a cruise ship. We used the hotel boat shuttle to go to the historical sites in Venice the morning before our cruise. Also, the BEST gluten free options my husband has ever seen for breakfast! Thank you!

Pros: Location, view, transportation.
Location: Location is off main island so quiet and uncrowded. Nice view from deluxe rooms.
Right on Blue line No. 2. Second stop from cruise terminal. Very convenient with shuttles to main attractions.

Nice hotel in a quiet place

Posted 18-Apr-2017
The hotel was huge, clean, tidy and quiet. Clean and capacious room. XYou need to get either Hilton shuttle (€6 per stay) or the ACTV water bus to get to Venice centre area.

Big chain, lost its way and priorities...

We stayed for a few nights in Venice. The hotel is located on Guidecca - a Island across the biggest canal From the main Venice island area. There is a once off €6 per stay hotel shuttle service to San Marco that runs a few times an hour - but we learned about after we arrived by water taxi. The hotel seems to be doing some upgrades that obviously had not quite filtered into the room we stayed in. It was neat, but tired. It wasn't their budget room, but there not many creature comforts - one thin pillow each, pay for wifi, pay through the eyeballs for mini bar and buffet breakfast... Guest services were helpful, it is a big hotel and people did miss the shuttle bus due to crowds even in the off season. There were some great cafes and restaurants close by that give you alternatives to the great looking restaurants in house if you're more budget conscious. There was an odour that I am told is not unique to this hotel and is experienced right across Venice.

Excellent location close to Venice City centre

Loved the hotel and its proximity to main touristy spots of San Marco square. The ferry to San Marco from Giudecca is only 15 minutes and every 30 minutes or so. Though stated as complimentary the Hotel charges you €12 (for an entire stay of 4days) which I suppose is nothing for using its ferry service. We would definitely stay in this Hotel again and recommend to friends The minute irritants were: 1.) We were overcharged for our stay by €320. Thankfully we noticed this error and when pointed out with our booking confirmation it was rectified. Didn't quite undernderstand how the error happened nor was there really any attempt made to explain this to us. 2.) The amount of crockery and cutlery in our room kept getting reduced with each passing day. Surely the housekeeping must have known the number of guests staying in a room costing close to €240/night especially with the glasses, cups etc being used yet for some unknown reason these were never replaced with similar numbers. For a couple you need two glasses, two cups, two teaspoons and if these were there when we checked in there's no reason why their numbers should change with each successive passing day. Though not a minor issue it did mean us having to call room-service every time we noticed a missing piece of cutlery which we wanted to use.
