Manager was friendly, welcoming. Property was a bit run down. Pool filled with dirt, room had wad of pet hair on floor, shower mat and drain with visible build up, coffee maker with used coffee filter in it, wall with cracks. TV without reception. No toiletries in room. Lots of area for pets to walk, roam. Area surrounding is farmland and aroma is livestock.

Our apologies for the inconveniences caused to you. We would have certainly done something or changed the room if you feel that room was not properly cleaned or not to you your liking. We encourage our guest to come to the front desk or call the front desk for solutions.

Only 1 handicapped accessible room on the property, the parking space for that room was in the back corner of the lot and consistently blocked by other patrons. These other patrons parked their large pickup trucks (with Illinois tags) head out of the two adjacent parking spaces and blocked access to the ONLY handicapped space. The manager of the property suggested I park sideways and take two spaces, but following his recommendation would have resulted in my car being boxed in by the same two pickups and any vehicle that parked in the space to the left of the two spaces I would have occupied. The correct action the manager should have taken is to ask the inconsiderate drivers of the 2 large pickup trucks to move their trucks down to any of the plethora of open and available parking spots which would have then left the ONLY handicapped space accessible. The room itself was in disrepair: the door had to be slammed to close correctly, no viewing device to the outside was provided on the door, the room constantly had flies in it, the toilet required multiple flushes to effectively remove waste, lighting was dim in the room even with all lamps on. Overall, this hotel has been poor in terms of service and accomodations and a bad experience in general. Bring a fly swatter, a door chain, a toilet plunger and a willingness to try and understand the nature of some people who show absolutely no concern for others in our society.

Hi! Maureen, I had requested the guest who had big truck to park on other spot other that the spot that was preventing you to park in the handicapped parking, and parking problem is solved now. On other feedback and suggestions we will look it to the issues. Thank you.

Very dirty, could not get out of reservation. Tub drain was plugged and no house cleaning. Ill never stay again.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but you never brought up these issues to the front desk during your 3 days stay. Furthermore, you chose a non-refundable package using Expedia, a third-party website in which we have no control over for refunds or disputes.

Convenient, flies are a problem
The person at the check in was helpful and nice. The room still had the old coffee in pot from last person and the flies were horrible. It was a convenient place to stop and the bed was comfortable.

You did not raise any concerns about your room to the front desk during your 13 hour stay. We would have taken your feedback and made accommodations. Furthermore, we had told you that the breakfast is a grab and go white bag with honey buns and blueberry muffins.

The plug for the clock did not work for our c-paps to work. The shower backed up water in the tub by not draining enough. There was no tv guide so a lot of the channels on there did not work. All else was great.

This is an old Motel but absolutely served its purpose of a quick rest as I traveled through. Really this is a 1 star Motel but it was clean, had a coffee maker, fridge, microwave and a hot shower. The gentleman that checked me in at 1:30 AM was great

Perfect place to stop for a night. Dog friendly. Quiet. Nice management. Nothing fancy but super clean and space for all including the dog beds. Will stay again on our next pass through Vega.
