"Clean, Convenient"
We stayed here for six days as a base camp while we visited our daughter who was living in Lausanne for the summer and visited some other sites in Switzerland. It is near the highway (but not so near as to have a problem with noise) and nothing in Lausanne is too far away, typically 10-15 minutes driving. We had a car. If you want to rely completely on public transportation then you may need something more in the center of town though I think there may be a train stop not too far away.

This Hotel's glory days were long ago, but I very much enjoyed it's old time charm, the grand entrance staircase, historic photos, large rooms and squeaky floorboards. It is well located, my room warm, the bed comfortable, the breakfast good and the price very reasonable. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my one night stay.

"Convenient location to visit the Christmas market"
The hotel was over priced and did not justify it's 4 star rating; I've seen 3 star hotels that were much more impressive. The hotel itself was reasonably clean although it obviously needs updating. We had two rooms and one had a renovated bathroom while the other did not and it was a world of difference. The rooms were small but comfortable. Facilities weren't terribly impressive, the fitness centre was rather pathetic. Having said that, its proximity to the train station and the Christmas market definitely made it a very convenient hotel to stay at.

Hotel in an industrial area. Ok if you have a car. Breakfast is terrible. You are served food from earlier days that is not fresh.

"Perfect lakeside hotel"
The hotel is clean and updated. Our room has a lakeview patio which is just what we expected. The view was breathtaking. The room is white-themed and very modern. The bed is very comfortable and bathroom is spacious too. It's a perfect place to stay for your next vacation.

"Amazing location"
Very close to the city center. Also to some local popular bars and places to chill. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Only remark is that housekeeping does not warn or knock the door before entering in the morning to do the cleaning since they don't see the sign " don't disturb" . Maybe it is part of hotels policy, even so they should at least use the warring.

"Charming renovated old style hotel "
Charming hotel, bringing us back to the beginning of the 20th century but completely renovated with all the facilities. Wonderfull location just in front of the lake where you can relax and go for a walk, even in a cold day. Ask for a room with lake view. It is really calming to see the water. Very quiet hotel. Just in front of the train station-a single road to cross.

Pocket Guide: Pet Friendly Hotel in Vaudois Alps

    Pet-Friendly Hotels in Vaudois Alps

If you’re travelling to the Vaudois Alps with a four-legged friend, you’ll want to know your hotel will welcome your pet with open arms. Use Expedia’s search tool to browse through the selection of pet-friendly hotels in the Vaudois Alps, and relax in the knowledge that your pet will be treated like one of the family.

Where Are the Pet-friendly Hotels in the Vaudois Alps?

There are more pet-friendly hotels in the Vaudois Alps than you might think, with a good spread of choices across the whole region. Look first in the three major ski resort areas of Leysin, Villars and Les Diablerets, but if you want something a little quieter, try Payerne, or the nearby Medieval town of Aigle. The traditional alpine villages of Rossiniere and Rougemont, both of which are slightly to the north of the main ski area, also welcome pets.

What to Consider when Choosing a Pet-friendly Hotel

There are always a few things to bear in mind when booking a pet-friendly hotel in the Vaudois Alps. As so many hotels welcome pets as guests, you should be ready to pay a little each night for your pet. Most hotels will charge a nightly fee per pet, and many hotels can only accommodate two pets per party, and some only one. It’s also important to ask about and follow any rules about where your pet may go within the hotel, bearing in mind that some properties might have off-access areas, or may ask you to confine them to your room.

If you’re hoping for an active break with your pet, there’s no shortage of alpine pastures and panoramic views to enjoy. The Swiss welcome dogs in most smaller shops, but they should be left outside food shops. If they’re on a lead, dogs can join you on a walk around town, but do make sure your pet has a microchip and passport before leaving the UK.

The Vaudois is criss-crossed with marked hiking paths and mountain trails, so you’re sure to have an excellent time exploring the scenery together. And when the day is over, come back to your pet-friendly hotel for a restful night’s sleep.
