(359 reviews) This was a great location with friendly staff and amenities. Breakfast was simple but good. We were able to rent kayaks. Would definitely stay here again. However, there is another much nicer hotel located closer to the heart of town that has a much more affordable sauna (about $10 USD vs $40 USD per person) that has a better view and restaurant. Pricing between the two is comparable, so if the other location has availability it is a better option than this location. (737 reviews) Very friendly and courteous staff! It was cold outside but the room was lovely and cozy warm. Nice dinner and my breakfast was included. It is right next to the ferry dock in Gudvangen. In the morning, after breakfast I walked over to the Viking Village and did a tour there… very interesting and worth doing. The bus stop was no more than a 10 minute walk from Fjordtel and I jumped on the bus to Bergen. Thank you for your hospitality Gudvangen Fjordtel!
