Hotel right next to highway
Thi Hotel is just of the highway, right next to the gas station. Parking around the hotel is limited, but next to the gas station there is much more (less safe) parking available. our room was hidden behind a sports building which was good and bad, no views, but also no sound from the gas station and highway. Breakfast was good and very friendly staff. No airconditioning during exceptional hot days in Sweden, but a fan was placed on the desk

We stayed one night and also had dinner in the restaurant. A really nice hotel in the little town of Askerund. It does not look so nice from the outside but when we got inside we were very happy. Friendly staff, clean room and very good food at the restaurant

It is difficult to give a fair review. It was a heatwave, with no aircon, we had problem sleeping. Staff was friendly, but some were inexperienced, summer staff? Food was good, breakfast adequate.

The hotel is nicely situated on the river
We truly enjoyed our stay, It is a cute town, hotel is walking distance to restaurants and pier.

Would not stay here again
Can't believe this hotel got such a good rating. Room small, beds low, pillows useless. But the worst was the restaurant. There were flies all over the food in the buffet and no doubt in the kitchen as well. Really unsanitary.

Good service, comfort and high quality breakfast
Travelling through. The best hotel to find in the region! Looks like a budget truck center and motel on the outside. However, the building boosts high comfort with lots of 4 Star facilities on the inside. To road trip travellers I would recommend this hotel ahead of any motel along Hwy 50 and E20/ E18. My only minus is the receptionist assistant/ bartender who didn't describe the location of the room at check in, quite confusing to find on my own after a long day... If you must take a detour to reach Askersund and this hotel, it's absolutely worth the effort!

Very nice view of the canal
Stayed for one night, great view of the canal and very nice spa! The birds were very loud in the morning though and they didn't keep enligh breakfast out for the late goers like us. There was still an hour left or breakfast too.

Swedish Modern Minimalist Retreat
The photos online and in brochures do not do justice for this newly renovated property. Ignore the somewhat shabby exterior appearance from the road. The inside has been totally redone in a nautical style that is both minimalist and efficient. A unique hoisted blackout curtain and miniblinds enclosed between dual pane windows are neat. The room is comfortable. The bath has all quality new fixtures, shower, but only a tiny corner shelf for toiletries. Shampoo and soap are in generic all-purpose dispensers. Think minimalist and adjust! Ask for a room looking out over the little inlet. Dinner was excellent, breakfast OK. Overall it was much better than I expected. It is a beautiful area that we visited because it is the home of my great grandparents who emigrated to America in 1869.

Hotellet har ett utmärkt läge näre genomfarten och snabbt inne i centrum och till den vakra kanalen som i och för sig var frusen nu men ändå vacker Lite kallt på rummet , kom fram silverfiskar när jag lät frttemattan ligga framme framför duschen, kändes lite avigt med gymmet i grannhuset speciellt på vintern

Gymmet var inte i bästa skick, vattnet i bubbelpoolen inomhus var kallt men trots detta hade vi en bra vistelse. Mycket trevligt hotell! Oavsett kallt vatten i poolen och slitet gym kommer vi att komma tillbaka till Best Western i Askersund och ha en skön weekend där.

A great hotel in a small cosy town surrounded by beautiful nature at lake Vättern. Polite and helpful staff, great breakfast and a nice spa section makes the stay a great choice. Value for money.
