We tried this hotel because friends had stayed there and it is close to out kids house. We loved it when we walked in, beautiful settings, nice bar/lounge area with fireplace, Very nice customer service and they will even make you a coffee at the front desk.
I was pleased with the hotel, it was worth the value. I stayed with my dog, and it was perfect for us both. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I do have one complaint which is out of the hands of the hotel, people who were leaving in the early morning(before the sun was up) vrooming there car engines for lengthy times to warm up, which woke me up.
I've spent several nights here. It's clean. The rooms are comfortable in size. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. There are a couple things I would like to comment on. The spoon for the sausage gravy sits on a tray that after a couple times in and out of the gravy pan becomes really gross. I don't think it's very hygienic.
Why does the pool and fitness room have specific hours? It's not near any rooms and it doesn't have a life guard on duty either. I've been in hotels that have them open 24 hours a day.
They always have hot coffee. I'll be back when I need a room in Battle Ground.
This smoke-free hotel, located 8 miles northwest of Vancouver, WA, is less than 5 miles from Battle Ground Lake State …More
As title says, good location from highway and from Vancouver Mall. It's next door to another hotel chain so lots of parking and you feel safe leaving your vehicle unattended. Rooms were better than expected however, it's because this is a newer property. Everything looks great when new. I could tell things like chairs in the room, appliances in kitchen area of the suite, etc. are only a few months to a short year (depending on use) of needing to be replaced. I think that will make or break my personal rating of 3 stars if we ever stay here again. Too many hotels seem intent on allowing their room furnishings to completely wear out before replacing. This hotel could catch stuff like that to keep costs down and to keep customers coming back. We only had 2 main issues during our one night stay. #1 - When pulling out blanket for sofa bed, we noticed it had areas of black and red stuff smeared all over. Because of the late night, I simply put it in a corner in the kitchen with a note to housekeeping. #2 - Noticed folded paper under our door morning of checkout. Because I had pre-paid weeks prior, and we had not charged anything to the room, was confused as to why a final check-out bill was produced. looked and noticed final charge was $75 LESS than what I had already pre-paid! When asking front desk about this they stated that I should not have had that put under my door and that was that. No real explanation. Kinda felt like the "chump that paid $75 too much for his room!"
Overall it was a pleasant stay. The only downside is there is no commissary or store inside the hotel for forgotten travel items (shampoo, brush, aspirin, etc.). They do provide complimentary comb, but not exactly what I was looking for...they did have Excedrin, but it was in a large bottle that I'm sure many people handle, not the best choice for me.
While Washington may claim Vancouver as its own, it takes just 20 minutes to drive between the city and Portland’s downtown. Public artworks, including the Salmon Run Bell Tower and Glockenspiel, reference the city’s centuries-old past. Elsewhere, visitors to the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site discover a 19th-century reconstructed fort, replete with furnishings and staff in period dress.
