The motel is showing its age but is in good condition and clean. The front desk changed my reservation from a queen bed to a king bed with my approval. The small refrigerator was barely audible and worked well. The room heat pump was a little noisy but otherwise did the job, I wound up shutting it off before going to sleep. The bathroom was a bit cramped in some ways but had room for a wheelchair, obviously it was a handicapped room. The shower was more than acceptable with plenty of hot water and a constant temperature valve. The TV was old and not a flat screen but the dish did include Showtime. Overall a perfectly satisfactory room for one night.
When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice young man and he quickly checked us in. Later he directed to a place to eat within walking distance that he said had very good food and he was correct. Nice stay.
Came to Vancouver to see my 92 year old sister, and my great grandchildren. Booked one night, as didn't know the area. When my friend and I checked in Shilo was at the desk, and she really started our stay off right. We are two old codgers in our 70's, and she had us at "Welcome to Day Inn". The property was nothing like most of the Days Inns I had stayed at in the past. I ask about extending the stay, and she said to see her in the morning. We stayed 3 more nights.
My husband and I were attending a party in downtown Vancouver and didn't want to drive home afterwards. The Comfort Inn was within walking distance of the function, so it was very handy. They had a nice breakfast for us.
While Washington may claim Vancouver as its own, it takes just 20 minutes to drive between the city and Portland’s downtown. Public artworks, including the Salmon Run Bell Tower and Glockenspiel, reference the city’s centuries-old past. Elsewhere, visitors to the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site discover a 19th-century reconstructed fort, replete with furnishings and staff in period dress.
