its a nice place to stay good ski/boot locker with boot dryer. its a short walk up a steep hill which might not suit everyone . very limited parking .

The hotel had a music festival going while I was there and was super noisy, tons of late night partiers making it impossible to sleep. It is an old hotel that has not been refurbished in a meaningful way. No sound-proofing......avoid if you can

Great choice for Gressoney La Trinite
Highly recommended. I was in Gressoney La Trinite to ski and the Ellex is centrally located, a few minutes walk to the lifts. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a great view down the valley. The hotel provides a healthy European breakfast with locally sourced ingredients, and a wellness center with sauna and hot tub to relax at the end of the day. Service is warm and friendly.

Excellent value for money out of season.
Excellent and secluded remote setting. Difficult to access but worth the climb up the mountain. Would advise to arrive in the day time. The staff were super. The spa facilities were nice and cost 12€ if booked in advance. No dinner was available as out of season but a couple of nearby inns did the job. Lovely if you like walking out of season . We went in August so the weather changeable. Breakfast was natural foods, healthy with excellent choice.

An all round thoroughly enjoyable stay
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a perfect location (though walk down to the main road and main gondola for skiing rather steep), food was really both very good and well varied and the spa a blessing after a days hard work on the slopes. Everything clean, well maintained and decor was relaxing and stylish. We had a wonderful 5 nights at the Ellex hotel over the new year in 2013 and plan to return.

Ellex hotel, what a fantastic hotel in the small village of Gressoney Tschaval. Large, lovely rooms with a good shower, a very nice spa in the basement and a well-made breakfast with all the accessories. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. SPLENDIDO WEEKEND CON UNA NOTA DOLENTE
Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo pernottato due notti nel weekend di Natale. La posizione è ottima per gli amanti dello sci o delle escursioni perché la struttura si trova a due passi dagli impianti di risalita. La nostra camera era semplice ma molto accogliente. Abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato il fatto che i proprietari siano molto attenti all’ambiente e perciò hanno deciso di sostituire gli usa e getta del bagno con una linea biodegradabile. La colazione è molto soddisfacente perché ricca e fornita di numerosi prodotti locali genuini. Unica nota dolente da non poter tralasciare è stata la seconda notte passata al freddo a causa dei caloriferi spenti e dell’assenza di almeno un plaid da aggiungere al piumone leggero (unica coperta nel nostro letto). Purtroppo dopo una certa ora la reception è vuota e non è stato nemmeno possibile chiedere una coperta al momento. Abbiamo dormito con pile indosso e giacche adagiate sul letto tipo come se fossero coperte. Oltre a ciò, ci è dispiaciuto che al check-out dopo aver raccontato l’accaduto alla signora della reception lei non si sia nè scusata nè si sia offerta di farci un piccolo sconto, anche simbolico. In futuro valuteremo se ritornare o meno presso questo hotel, magari in estate, onde evitare di passare un’altra notte al gelo.

Good location and frendly staff
Nice hotel close to the slope. Helpful staff and good breakfast, although a little crowded at times. Tschaval has a way to go when it comes to restaurants, and be sure to book in advance, which is not always easy as you have never been or seen the places.

Dejlig oplevelse.
Vi besøgte hotellet meget tidligt på ski sæsonen, hvorfor der ikke var mange andre gæster. Hotellet ligger smukt i gå afstand fra skiliften. I bil er hotellet svært tilgængeligt og det kan være nødvendigt at bære bagage fra offentlig parkering til hotellet, over en afstand af ca. 200m. Hotellets personale var særdeles venlige og hjælpsomme.

Mycket bra hotell i Staffal/Gressoney!
Väldigt fräscht, mysigt och familjärt hotell med 21 rum och eget spa. Trevlig personal och en väldigt bra frukostbuffé med egen juice-maskin och stor kaffemaskin. Kort promenad till liftsystemet men när du kommer hem åker du rakt in i hotellet! Du har galet mycket skidåkning för alla smaker, inklusive det extrema, i hotellets absoluta närhet.

Hotel Ellex on hyvällä paikalla gondolilta noin 400 metrin kävelymatkan päässä. Hotelli on rinteessä, joten tie hotelille on jyrkkä. Kauniit näköalat huoneesta ja viihtyisä hotelli. Aamupalalla puristettua appelsiinimehua, mikä aina ilahdutttaa muutoinkin löytyi monipuolisesti tarjottavaa. Ainut miinus, että meidän huone oli kylmä (ikkunoista veti, ulkona -11 astetta) patteri oli täysillä, mutta se ei jaksanut lämmittää huonetta.

Underbart hotell med bra frukost och fint spa. Massagen va sådär, vilket inte är helt ovanligt på mindre ställen. Området är mkt lugnt, men väldigt nära åkning o liftar.

Ski in and wonderful breakfast
Great location for skiing the Monterosa system. Hotel is ski in from Moos piste, walk out to lifts (150 m). Steep and icy road to hotel, not possible to reach the hotel with car on the day we arrived as it had snowed a lot. Fantastic breakfast, probably the best I've experienced in the alps. No other food service but a bar open til 11 pm. Nice lounge area to hang out with friends. Nice rooms with balcony and great views. Clean and spacious bathroom with no shortage of warm water.

Weekend all'insegna del divertimento e del relax
E' stato un soggiorno veramente bello e rilassante. Nel pomeriggio del giorno di arrivo, dopo una giornata sugli sci, ci siamo rilassati tra bagno turco, sauna e vasca idromassaggio della Spa e alla sera abbiamo avuto l'occasione di mangiare in un ristorante a Punta Iolanda a 2300m. Il giorno successivo equivalente alla partenza, sotto la neve, ci siamo divertiti sulle piste degli impianti proprio vicini.

Delizioso e intimo hotel ai piedi del Monte Rosa
Eravamo già stati in questa struttura circa un mese prima per un giorno, abbiamo voluto replicare aumentando i giorni della nostra permanenza ed è stato tutto molto gradevole. Abbiamo usufruito di tutti i servizi presenti nell'hotel e il personale è stato gentile e del tutto disponibile. Sicuramente da rifare! Noi eravamo in coppia e ci siamo rilassati, passato un weekend romantico lontani dalla città.

Super séjour dans cet hôtel . Parfait comme point de départ pour visiter le Mont Rose . Très bonne situation et très pratique pour des balades en montagne .
