Nice location and a good price.

Great hostel perfectly located, with all the amenities required. Nice to have a shower in the room, terrace view, and comfortable beds.

The hotel does not have an elevator I was not able to stay at the hotel. When I booked my stay this was not in the description. When I spoke to hotels.com they said if I clicked through about three links it is stated that there isn't an elevator. This should be stated on the booking page. They did not offer me a refund and I will never book with hotels.com again.

Generally a comfortable stay

Posted 12-Aug-2016 on Hotels
Generally comfortable and quiet, despite the central location. Basic and small room but comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Tip: don't leave food in the fridge that you wish to take with you if you check out before 9am. The communal kitchen is locked until 9am, which I only discovered when I had to leave my breakfast and lunch for the long journey ahead of me that began at 6am. The sign on the door simply says the kitchen is closed between 10pm and 9am, not that the door is locked.

Great place

The pension is located at a short walking distance from the city center and everything is reachable within 10 minutes walk. It is good value for the money and the staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. In particular Alessandro from the reception walked me around during his day off and made me discover part of Sevilla that I would never know otherwise. Higly reccomended.

Super central hotel with shared bathroom

Posted 02-May-2016
Surprisingly nice and amazing price for what you get. Rooms are very clean, as well as kitchen and common area. The shower is cleaned daily, but due to a few rooms sharing you can see that it was used by others as well and there is a bit of a wait sometimes. The location is great, staff is very nice, they have luggage storage and towels are included. Was exceeding my expectations by far.

Great Hostel! Comfortable stay!

Posted 16-Oct-2015 on Hotels
We loved this hostel!! We stayed in a private room with a double bed and a shared bathroom. We are on an extended trip and wanted something private but affordable and we could not have found better. This place is ideally located, clean, and cute. The young woman at the front was very nice and helpful. She took out a map and drew and circled on it the walks that we should take and the things we should see. She even gave us some local tips on good places to eat ;). The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Since it is a hostel, and since it is located in such a central location, keep in mind that some noise from neighbors and the street below is to be expected. I brought ear plugs, as I do anytime I travel, and I had no problems and slept great. We also never had any problems with the shared bathroom. It was clean and we rarely saw fellow hostel-mates so we never had to wait or anything like that. Highly recommended.

Loved it!

Great location right next to the plaza ayuntamiento, and within walking distance of most of the downtown sights. It was a twenty minute or so bus ride to the beach (which was great!) and the City of Arts and Sciences. The staff was friendly and helpful, even marking on the map places to see and eat. There is no air conditioning, fyi, but with a fan it was bearable even in the heat wave when we were there. The family room was comfy, bathrooms clean, easy access to the kitchen, and we felt safe. Loved our balcony overlooking Valencia's beautiful streets!

Hostel Pension Universal, Valencia.

Posted 15-Jul-2015
Pros: Central location, simplicity and authenticity of the rooms, most with mini balconies to enjoy early morning Valencia.
Cons: The shared bathrooms/showers could do with an update and probably need to be cleaned more thoroughly.
Location: Right in the heart of the Gothic old town - a short walk away to historic attractions.
If you're looking for air-conditioned, boutique hotel, then this isn't the place for you. But if you do want bang in the centre of Valencia, simple, functional and authentic ( and don't mind sharing a shower ) this is a brilliant hostel for back-packers, brave city explorers and budget culture vultures.

The hostel was in a great location but was shabby and lack warm/hot communal showers.
