I loved this hotel! It's beautiful, the people were very nice, and the rooms were lovely and clean. The bed was so comfortable! Breakfast was amazing and the view was even better. We also had dinner at the hotel since we couldn't find anywhere else to eat because there were no reservations available, which was fine with us because the food in the restaurant was great! my mom had the salad and the kraut salat tasted just how my oma made it so definitely has my seal of approval. The common room with the fireplace was so cozy. When I was there the embers were dying and I asked one of the ladies to put another log on. She said that the soapstone fireplace would get too hot so she said no which was fine but as I was sitting in front of the embers one of the men who worked there put in another log and the same lady walked in. I think she thought I asked the guy to put another log in after she told me no but I didn't! So if she reads this I swear I didn't pull a "mom said no so I'll ask dad." Nevertheless I can't wait to stay in Hotel Edelweiss again!

What a view! One of the most breathtaking in the world. And we really enjoyed the cozy fireplace in the lounge every evening. The woman at the front desk was really gracious and helpful.

This really is a large bed and breakfast in terms of the family atmosphere, friendly staff and community vibe. Murren is THE town to stay in and this is THE place to soak in all that the Alps has to offer with a very reasonable price point (especially for Switzerland).

Beautiful scenery
Our stay was amazing. The receptionist let us into our room a few hours early. She gave good advice upon checkout. The food in the restaurant food was delicious but the service was not very good at all. That was our only complaint.

Getting into Murren requires you to take a series of trains and a gondola to get there, but so worth it. The town is quaint and lovely and the hotel is within 5 min walk from train station. We had a panorama view of the mountains, and it was amazing. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

Nice basic room. Liked the buffet and their restaurant. Everything we ordered was tasty. Nice staff. As it is normal everywhere this spring/ summer, they seemed very busy and might be slightly short staffed.

Highly recommended by seasoned travelers.
What a delightful surprise! The location was in the middle of town with a fabulous view from our balcony. Heated bathroom floors, spacious room, comfortable bedding and linens w real down comforters, excellent friendly service from hard-working staff and owners. Washer/dryer available for reasonable cost. Delicious varied breakfasts. A warm fire in the lobby. Everything clean and sparkling. Not fancy, but pleasant, fresh, and reasonably priced.

Good location in Murren. Seamless check-in by friendly staff Clean and spacious room and nice view of the mountain. Comfortable bed and bathroom. Breakfast included. Simple breakfats range, but with good quality. Staff was great. Good view while having breakfast.

Stunning location. We clearly got the Expedia room, as we were derisively informed at checkin, that we got “the cheapest room”. Floor board coming up and a bit tatty. Great linens and good breakfast.

Beautiful hotel perched in the side of a cliff with amazing views. We had a corner room and it was like a front row seat at a National Park. Very friendly staff would not hesitate to stay again.

We absolutely LOVED our trip to Murren - and the highlight was staying in the corner room overlooking the amazing mountains. The staff was overly accommodating. We forgot our US adapter for electricity -- and they were gracious in allowing us to borrow theirs (and return the next day). We wish we could have stayed an extra night. All around highly recommend!
