Stay Well Clear of this Hotel !
A Horrific Experience at Best ! Firstly this Hotel is pending refurbishment. The refurbishment is meant to commence on July 6th 2020 - October 31 2020. Unfortunately they have decided to punish all clientele by forcing them to stay on the premise and pay full price for a dilapidated Hotel that is in dire need of an upgrade ! So lets begin: The Hotel is very empty. There are no events or a lot of clients. Upon arriving we were met with a parking attendant who told us that its 25 euros per day parking fee should you wish to park your car on the premises (no problem we parked further up the road and walked to the hotel - (took that one on the chin). We arrive and are given a room facing a back alley even though all rooms are empty and as a previous client of Barrière I would have appreciated an upgrade to at least a Lake facing room seeing as I was with my heavily pregnant wife. Came down to complain was told I had to pay 30 Euros for a Lake view room and that there was no chance for an upgrade. Due to my wife's condition and the fact that we were only staying one night I ended up upgrading to Lake view for 30 Euros. Note: You are also given one voucher each when checking into any room here for the spa. Just one problem its only good for each person for one day. We found this out when we decided to go for one last swim after breakfast the following morning and were instructed to pay 31 euros each if we wanted to jump in the pool again.

I didn't like the fact that they donot have a business center like most hotels of this class do. You are bound to conduct business on you cell phone without the possibility of printing etc... Also, there was a stench in the elevators .. smelled like sewage

Le Fawlty Towers
Service was akin to a French Fawlty Towers. I arrived at 4 and asked for an iron. Asked again at 6 as I went out for a walk asked again at 8 and was told there are no more irons. I was there for business and needed to run over 3 shirts for the week. This left a bit of sour taste in the mouth. Location is great and the hotel is fine for a few nights stay if a little dated and basic inside the rooms. Location is great so didn't eat inside the hotel, they only have a basic set menu and the drink prices were extortianate. Lots to see and do in the town and close to Paris city centre.

Enghien Les Bains
Went to Paris to visit family who lives in Enghien. The hotel is perfectly situated and offers great quality especially as I'm a frequent traveler. The town is charming with a lovely lake, fashionable shops and great food, of course!

Great hotel, typically local service though, forgot to replace cups for coffee in room and then took 4 hours to bring them to the room - food was ok - overall it was fine and actually would go back there if only for the excellent spa

Nice hotel at a suburban location close to water
Great hotel to spend a weekend or more at for relaxation. located at a reasonable deistance from activities in the french capital without the overcrowded amenities.

Great quality stay just outside of central Paris.
Business trip originating in LeBourget, about a 30 euro taxi ride away. Previously would stay in central Paris but opted for a change. Now would only stay here as there is a great Rail link to Paris North Station (3.7 euros one way) which runs about every 15 minutes. Great Spa, free access to the Casino (the friendliest one ive ever been in) and very welcoming staff. Highly Recommended.

WARNING: TERRIBLE SERVICE / EXPERIENCE
Unbelievably bad service at this hotel. I travel frequently for business and this was definitely the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. Staff was incredibly rude during check-in, appallingly disrespectful to my wife and when I asked to speak to the manager this was refused. This hotel really needs to put at least a tiny bit of effort into customer service/training, especially considering how expensive its services are.

Two nights in Paris
On arrival couldnt find where to park, drove up road and round the back roads until found lock up with no info on how to get in. Obviously assumed had to book in first and get a pass or something. Turns out theres a button that anyone can press to recieve a ticket, the doors then rise and you use the ticket to get out. There was an extra 9euro charge per night for parking! Dont know about Security? as it seems anyone could get a ticket, walk in, steal a car and use the ticket to get out again? 3 Lifts and long walks inbetween to get to room. Only wax cups and wooden stirrers provided to make a drink. The only excellent thing was the beautiful view over the lake from the window. The Holiday Inn that we stayed in en route was far superior.

Nice area to relax.
If you are looking for a get away where you can find some calm and get away from stress the hotel de Lac is located across Enghien les Bains. Bring your jogging shoes and have a morning jog before heading to the Spark Spa for water jets and Hammam. Very relaxing!

Paris or NOT
Very nice hotel on the outskirts of Paris. Good value for a nice sized room. Clean and well managed. The Restrauants are a little expensive but have excellent food and service. Outstanding location if you have a car to get you back in to Paris for sight seeing. I stayed for business and drove to the conference center every day. About 20 minute drive to the airport. Good safe parking garage if somewhat hard to find the first time.

Easter break
The hotel was lovely and is situated in a very quiet and tranquil area. It is very relaxing to sit and watch the lake with the water fountains. The one down point and being British this was a big one, there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room like you would normally get. In the end we used room service which was extremely expensive for what we wanted and even then, it wasn't that nice.

outstanding in all aspects
I was very impressed by this hotel. It is located just across the gorgeous lake which, even under the rain, is stunning. The bar, hall, restaurants, are high class. I had to spend a few hours close to the bar, sitting in a beautiful alcove, to do some interviews, the place was incredibly comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful ( a beautiful lunch was even brought to us so that we would not have to be disturbed) and the surroundings luxurious, all that with a view on the lake. Breakfasts and suppers were equally refined. The room was spacious, modern, clean. All the members of staff were kind, smiling, friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make your stay memorable. It worked! I will return at the first opportunity.

Highly recommended service
Very friendly, clean and convenient hotel, 5 minutes walk from station in Enghien-les-Bains, 15 minutes into Gare du Nord for central Paris. If you are driving, hotel is very easy to drive to from A16 / A115 and there is ample parking. Rooms overlooking the lake have a great view, by all accounts (from colleagues, haven't used it myself) the spa is good though cost is extra I believe.
