I booked the hotel through Expedia's Mystery Hotel "unpublished rates" to get great rates on 4-star hotels. My reservation was for 3 adults, but was not able to confirm # of beds due to the "Mystery Hotel" mechanism in Expedia... Finally, when I got the confirmation that Sonnenalp was the one, I called to confirm that everyone has a bed. Unfortunately, with 3 adults, we were put into a room with a single King Bed. No way 3 people in a single bed. The hotel upgraded us to Junior Suite with 2 double beds no question asked! Can't be happier! Great room, great service, and great facility!!
Just got home from 2 night stay with my husband and 3 daughters (7, 4, 1). We stayed in a 2 queen bed premier room. The rooms are very large and not one detail is left out. Heated floors, 5 piece bath, very comfortable beds, beautiful large balcony, etc. We were pleased that the sofa in the room made out into a bed bc my girls flip and flop like crazy, so we were able to give them each their own bed (with our 1yo in her pack n play). The hotel is located at the base of the gondola, so our trip up to the top of Adventure Ridge was very convenient. Just a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with an incredibly kind staff. The staff can make or break a trip for most people, everyone we encountered was just very genuine and anxious to help out (very quickly). Thanks for a great trip!

We love the Four Seasons properties. The staff is always amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and filled with complimentary amenities. Upon arrival there were tents set up on the floor for our kids and each tent had a kids sized robe and slippers and a complimentary stuffed animal. The room was extremely spacious and beautiful. The pool area was very kid friendly and they had an array of pool toys available for the kids.

Hotel was great! Really enjoyable stay and the customer service was impeccable.
The Spa was a different story. Terrible Masseur who said they could do a deep tissue massage but could not. The Manicure was also less then spectacular. For the money you paid for it you would assume that it would have been better!
The Montaneros is located right next to Lionshead Village, at the base of one of the gondolas. Our condo was very clean and comfortable, and the cleaning staff did a great job in taking care of us. The desk staff was very personable and helpful as we looked for places to eat and things to do. There's a great pool, with two hot tubs and a sauna. There's a bus stop right outside the condos, so it was very easy to jump on the bus and go to the village of Vail. However, we found several good spots to eat and shop directly in Lionshead. The only issue we had was that there is construction directly across the street where they are raising new buildings. That noise could be heard from one bedroom, but overall the unit was pretty noise proof. So, honestly, I would probably wait a year but would definitely stay here again.
Recently, enjoyed with my family and grandchildren 3 nights at this quaint beautiful centrally located hotel. Our room was beautiful and although facing the front of the property, we had a beautiful view of the mountains. The flower boxes were so beautiful hanging on the small patio opening of our room. Hummingbirds flew on the window boxes taking nectar from the petals. It was very wonderful to see. The rooms are large and all accommodations were much like a 5+ hotel. Beautifully decorated we were very pleased with our rooms. We especially enjoyed the valet parking and Eric who was so helpful. The check in process was easy and accommodated our early check-in wishes. The European style breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of food to fill you up for a early day of shopping sight seeing and photo opportunity. Walk literally out the door and you are welcomed by the abundance of shopping and restaurants. We will most certainly book this hotel again.
