Comfortable stay

Posted 13-Sep-2017
Friendly and helpful staff at check-in. Room was comfortable. Dinner took a long time to be served and took ages to get a drink from the bar, 2 hrs for an evening meal when the restaurant isn't that busy is just too long, food was ok, staff were nice though. Returned from breakfast to find my room key was deactivated, minor issue but frustrating when you just want to get checked out. 7/10.

Oasis of calm

Posted 24-Aug-2017
Stayed for just one night as a base for activities in central London. As it was a Sunday the weekend crowds had departed and we had the swimming pool and sauna to ourselves.

Shabby but due a full refurb soon

Posted 20-Jul-2017
Pros: Nice grounds
Cons: Furnishings and decoration seems to be looking forward to its improvement!!
Hotel OK, but shabby and in need of its refurb - which apparently is due to start soon. Feels a little claustrophobic with the dark brick walls in all the corridors leading to rooms. Swimming pool and lounge in good shape. Food was long in coming - considering there was virtually no-one in the bar and the restaurant had barely been open 10 minutes. Club sandwich bread seemed a little stale and filling was barely warm - not what I would have expected. Overall unimpressed by the food. Staff more interested in taking selfies with the drunk patrons at the bar. Those of us that were sober all cut our time short and returned to our rooms early. Had very unfortunate experience with an event being held that night which further added to the overall disappointment of our stay. Hotel management were good at addressing issues we raised the following morning and made an appropriate gesture - for which we were grateful.

Value for money

Posted 02-Jun-2017 on Hotels
Value for money - I paid £54 for a night which is probably the cheapest I've had in years. Yes, it does need a little bit of tarting up but overall wasn't bad and I had a good nights sleep. Slightly in the middle of nowhere but easy and quick access to Uxbridge, M25 and M40. The road leading up to the hotel isn't as bad as others have made out.

Poor customer service when you need the basics

Posted 02-May-2017 on Hotels
Has to get Moved twice. Edited we could get any hot water, staff saying everyone are using at the same time. Surely a 4 star hotel should cater for this, staff were not friendly and didn't seem to care about our problem, it was only when we forced the issue we got a room that had the basic requirements( hot water) I have stayed here before with no issues but it seems the customer service side when you have an issue needs looking at.

In need of some TLC

Posted 19-Apr-2017 on Hotels
We love the hotel but some areas do need a refurb. We stayed in room 32, a large contemporary room with amazing views of the surrounding parklane. Unfortunately the toilet didn't really flush, the bath hadn't been cleaned since its last visitor and the TV worked intermittently with very limited Chanel's. The mattress was incredibly comfortable.

Very good

Very accommodating and excellent staff. Bathroom slightly dated and room slightly on the small side, but still a very nice hotel with no other complaints

Rooms are small like prison cells

Posted 31-Mar-2017
The rooms look fantastic on the internet but they are not as advertised, they claim to be 291 square feet when they are in fact about 170 sq ft. They do not have the comfort of a 4 star hotel and are getting dated and shabby. I have stayed in plenty of 2 and 3 star hotels which are far ahead of the denham grove. The rooms are the gate basics, I would compare them in size to a prison cell,
