A basic but very pleasant hotel. Rooms were clean, staff attentive and the breakfast was in keeping with what you would expect at a 3 star hotel. Hotel is in good location near beach and restaurants and shops. Staff were very polite and helpful.

Excellent stay at Palm Beach Hotel
I recommend very much the Palm Beach Hotel. Excellent location, great service, they are very kind and have a very good breakfast. Excellent for the price.

We really loved the location, right across from a park then the beach. We were able to walk to the mall 20 minutes away and to the Monteviedo sign. Met our basic needs-had breakfast every morning, go earlier as it is a tiny space and can get packed. It's really a no frills property so don't expect much.

I had to shorten my stay, and called the hotel 3 hours after the cutoff time posted on Expedia. The person who picked up the phone was gracious and changed the date of my check-in and said he would see if he could prevent me getting charged for the days I would not be staying. After that, their email communication was quite short, and when I arrived a different person was very rude and unwelcoming, and said I would need to speak with Expedia to see if I could get a refund. I realized they have no idea what Expedia’s rules are, and they should. I could have saved money by completely canceling the reservation, being billed for one night, and then paying for the one night I stayed, rather than paying for an extra 4 nights I did not use. The bathroom was extremely small and the walls thin. I could hear people next door talking until 12:30 in the morning and then starting again at 6 am. Would not stay there again.

Location is excelent. There were no notepads or pens at the room, and during a work call I had to write down a phone number and there was nothing to write with. It also lacks a place where you can order even a cup of coffee after breakfast hours. But for the rest, the experience was overall really good. And the personel was pleasant and attentive. I would probably go back.

Nice hotel, close to beach.
Very efficient helpful staff who spoke English in reception. Always willing to help with local information and the best way to do things. Enjoyed our stay at this hotel and in Montevideo. We would stay again but the world is a big place and there are so many places to see.

A jewel of a hotel!
The Palm Beach Plaza Hotel is a jewel! Located in a quiet street just two blocks from the beach and the Rambla, it offers comfortable rooms, very reliable wi-fi, fantastic breakfast, and a wonderful personnel that will take care of your needs with a smile that never leaves their faces.

Great hotel outside the city centre
My stay at Palm Beach was generally very good. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and always happy to answer any questions. The room itself was spacious and comfortable (good bathroom, safety deposit box and excellent tv) with the downsides being it was not the cleanest or very modern. The hotel is let down by the breakfast offered - the room is cramped and the food basic. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and there are some restaurants and shops within 15-20 min walk radius. It's not close enough to walk into the city centre though so a taxi is probably your best option, although the tourist bus stops about 15 mins walk away.

The hotel is not downtown but it's easy to get there by bus or taxi. Very nice neighborhood. The room are a bit small and the shower tiny but it was enough for me. The staff were extremely good. Breakfast is slim but I noticed that's the way it is in latAm. I would stay there again.

It is located in a nice neighborhood. Rooms are clean but really small, no desk or table. Bedding is very good and the bathroom is good, as well. We enjoyed a good breakfast every morning and found the staff at front desk helpful and efficient.

A gem in the Pocitos neighborhood of Montevideo
We were very happy to be able to stay at such an upscale "boutique" style hotel at such a reasonable price. It was the most comfortable hotel that we stayed in during our trip to Buenos Aires and Uruguay. The location, in Pocitos, right by the Rambla, was great. We wish we could have stayed for more than one night.

Loved this boutique hotel. Great location in a charming neighborhood. Staff was multilingual, friendly, and accommodating. Room was small, but clean and modern. Loved the energy saving initiative - the electricity is activated by your room key, which goes into a panel (light switch) on the interior of the room (so, you can't leave the tv or other appliances on while you're out & it saves energy). Elevators were small, but fast. Lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood and the beach is one block over. P.S. The lobby is tres chic fantastic, so be sure you have your camera!

They just dont get it. Rude and sarcastic about 20 mins extra to check out and tried to charge me tripke the mini bar items i actually consumed. Woken by maid multiple times. No desk in room.

Booked through the site, but room was quite small for 2 people. I know there are larger rooms available so check what you are getting, but we were traveling for a month so had a decent amount of luggage. HOWEVER, all else was great! Good location, great staff, & modern aesthetics...

Staff are friendly and helpful! Location is on one of the main strips for shopping/dining. Walking distance to 2 beaches, and a walkable distance to the main nightlife hub. The room and building are clean, though showing its age. A mirror in the room and some electrical outlets would be nice. It's a great beach/vacation spot, so didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway.

A estadia foi muito agradável, muito descomplicada. O hotel é pequeno e prático, mas justamente isso lhe dá um aconchego maior. O fato de ser pequeno tampouco o impede de ter bons serviços. A única coisa que poderia fazer falta é um restaurante que sirva almoço e jantar (tinha café da manhã bom e serviço de quarto, mas não restaurante), mas a localização do hotel cumpriu o papel: havia muitos restaurantes na vizinhança, inclusive os da praia de Pocitos, que fica há poucos metros. Minha esposa e eu gostamos muito e, definitivamente, nos hospedaríamos outras vezes.
