"Lovely boutique hotel/Bilingual staff"
This is my 5th visit to Uruguay and the 5th time I have stayed here. It is in Carrasco, close to good restaurants and shopping. Their breakfast is fantastic, practically the best I've had anywhere, and the atmosphere of the breakfast area is very nice, for that matter, the entire hotel has a very classy color scheme and décor.
Attention needs to be paid to the bathroom areas, however, to make this place absolutely top notch. The construction of their shower stalls is suboptimal, as well as the plumbing fixtures. The last night I was there, I took a shower and water leaked out the bottoms and sides of the shower stall, flooding the entire bathroom and parts of the living room and bedroom before I noticed. They moved me to another room right away. The next morning, after a run, I tried to shower again, but the fixture for the shower head which was removable was too flimsy and could not be well controlled. I ended up putting it in the floor of the tub rather than trying to remount it during the shower. I did not wish to risk another flood. After showering, I attempted to use the hair dryer, and it kept stopping (perhaps it was tripping a circuit, so the hair dryer issue needs to be addressed. To modernize, they could change their dryers to the 1875 level of wattage rather than the 1500 that I think they had.
The microwave, refrigerator and dishes are big pluses to the room.
In summary, this is a beautiful little hotel. I'll come again, looking forward to improvement
