The Viking Lodge with Sauna

"We opted for the Viking Lodge as a stop between North and South Wales, and it was delightful. The lodge comes with all the required amenities, fridge, oven, stove, kettle and top notch WiFi. This is something that teenagers seem particularly fond of, and ours were no different. The lodge is set just off a farmhouse, amidst scenic rolling hills in central Wales. The Viking lodge comes with a lovely sauna, which is really easy to operate and delightful to be in. There’s also an inside table and couches and an outside picnic-style table which gives plenty of places to sit and chill in. A particularly pleasant touch was the Viking drinking horns, just adds to the joy. Getting there does have some very small single track roads so worth driving cautiously, the nearest town is about 15 minutes away by car (Tregaron) with a Spar with a good selection of things you can cook, if you do desire to use the oven. They also have a nice chip shop if you’re thinking more takeaway options for dinner. We enjoyed everything about our stay and’s would go again. Is really close to Aberystwyth, and the second most significant cathedral ruins (really close by) in Wales, definite must see. A great stay, lovely amenities, fantastic place to stay. Would happily go again."

"Gorgeous place to stay! The views were absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. It was so peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax. We were welcomed with strawberries, brownies, grapes and cheese, which was such a lovely touch. The property itself was stunning, with thoughtful little details like rose petals on the bed and LED candles that made our stay feel extra special. Highly recommend!"

"We loved the cottage. Lovely and warm, well equipped, tv's in all bedrooms, nice welcome pack, lovely soft towels with heated towel racks to keep them dry, and many other additional facilities to keeper you happy. Plenty of seating (3 settees) and a great feeling of space. Met the owner Mrs James who was very friendly and helpful and would be very happy to go there again. The boys loved the pool table and football table."

"Delightful cottage in lovely position only a few miles from Tregaron for all your basic supplies. Just one thing missing, which has been mentioned before, is a microwave which would be useful for heating milk etc."

"We had a lovely peaceful holiday ( although the weather was pretty dismal.) Stabl is well equipped with all the essentials. A wide selection of books and games were useful. The log burning fire was a welcome feature in the evenings. A cosy retreat for a relaxing break away from it all."

"Very enjoyable stay, was very clean and had everything we need for a break away. Local shops was about a 10 minute drive same with pubs. Hot tub was amazing very quiet and relaxing. If I could suggest one improvement the bed was a tad uncomfortable, bed was a bit noisy whenever you moved in your sleep and the mattress was very springy and thin. Apart from that I would definitely return! Everywhere was spotless and couldn’t have asked for more!Thank you"
