We had a great stay at the Westgate Palace. The staff was more than accommodating. It's located close enough to everything to be convient, but still manages to have a nice quiet, private feel.
We would definitely stay here again.
My mother and I took my daughters and two friends to Disney for the weekend. The hotel was very nice and great value for the money. It was a little dated and could have used some up keep on the exterior, but we found the condition of the rooms to be excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Two bathrooms and a decent sized European kitchen. The room was compact, but it fit the 6 of us just fine. It was a 15 min drive to Disney... probably 5-10 to Universal... and only two blocks from the I-4 junction. The area seemed safe and there were plenty of food options nearby. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was as good as I've received anywhere. I would stay here again.
We got rooms facing the road/parking and they seemed to be old rooms that have been updated somewhat. I think if we had, had pool facing it would have been nicer views and if it had been warm and we could have used the water park it would have had better reviews form us - we would recommend it when the water park is in operation - however with the water park closed for winter the hotel is just 'decent' but the location makes up for it if you are going to universal studios or wet and wild, etc. along with having all the bars, cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
I booked this hotel because the price was great during a convention. I had a car, so I was able to easily drive within 10 minutes to the convention center. I didn't realize it was a motel style when I booked, so I was disappointed by that. I was on the ground floor in building 3. The hotel itself was huge- several buildings. My room was relatively quiet with the exception of a neighbor who decided to sit on my window and talk on his phone in the middle of the night. My friend was near the bus stop and said it was insanely loud. The buses come and go all night at this hotel. So ask to be away from here. Also, if it's facing the highway, it's very loud. I had an issue with my door's lock- the deadbolt kept coming out after I would open the door to leave requiring me to scan my card to turn the outer handle while I pulled it closed- it was really inconvenient. The breakfast was kinda underwhelming. It seemed overpriced for the quality. Fake OJ and eggs, minimal fruit. They have a big convenience store with a lot to offer which I liked. Parking was tight if you got in late bc buses park there. I had to park really far away each night. Pools looked nice but I didn't use them.
Stayed overnight with my sister and 2yo niece after a day at Universal. DIdn't realize the lounge area's had a dress code, but with a 2yo weren't planning to visit. Heard there were some VIPs there but didn't go see who they were.

I was really happy with this hotel! The rooms were great, clean and the bed was comfortable! The location is great with universal parks in walking distance, and the milenia mall is just 5 minuted by car! The breakfast was limited but it was enough and good! I woulf definitely go back again!
The hotel supplied kitchen items were appreciated. Our room was very clean. I found the beds a little too firm for me, though. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location of this Extended Stay is very convenient. We would like to see the addition of automatic doors on the entrances. Thank you for allowing us to bring our elderly dachshund.
