We always mention the location is remote and truly it makes our place unique and private. Because of your personal duties attempted in town you had to leave few days prior planned departure. This have absolutely nothing to do with a service we had providen during your stay. The cottage was prepared for you perfectly on check in time, you have been took care by our staff in common areas while waiting and enjoyed your early lunch and drink in the bar.Our team met all your requests - placed wifi moded in the room, assising with booking a taxies, etc.It is very sad to get rated low and even more sad not to mention why. It is very misleading to our future travellers.Anyhow, we hope that you could stay with us again and enjoy the resort in very secluded part of the island.All the best

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to post your review, I was disheartened to see that we only deserved 1 star in your opinion. I can confirm that being on a remote part of the island, that transport to and from the resort can be difficult, but we do our best to arrange this for guests. We do not use fishing boats, but 2 small water taxi's. Apologies if this was not to your liking. I do not see a date in which you stayed at the resort, but I can assure you that a maintenance plan has been put in place, and new products like sun lounger cushions are now on site. Please understand that it is not very easy or time effective to order quality products and have them here the next day. Unfortunately, the carribean weather does play some part on the wear and tear of hotel property. Staff training has been reviewed and implemented regarding your above mentioned issues. I wish you every success in your future travels and would like to once again, thank you for sharing your opinion.

About the transfer to the property i have told you the phone that we don't do transfer when guest arrive with the local ferry cargo. The reason why is that cargo ferry arrive always at 9 pm or later. You have insisted and i let you know that the only solution was " an uncomfortable pick up on a very bumpy road....You said absolutely no problem. About the all inclusive package i checked the bill from the bar and your bill is massive or very above average. In any case we sincerely apologise if we have not satisfy your expectations. Chatham Bay is a very secluded and private hotel and is perfect for guest enjoy peace and tranquility take same time off from the busy routine and leave for few days in an unspoiled beach in luxurious accommodations. Internet wifi is the most powerful system in the island. Our system normally aloud you send and receive emails, video call home and surf the net at a comfortable speed. Is accessible from St Lucia or Barbados or Grenada or St Vincent with daily direct flight. Flight are also same where expensive like you well said. Union Island is not a mass tourism destination. This is why we can preserve the splendour of ours beautiful beaches and give you the possibility to have dream beaches just visited from few peoples every day and never crowed. True Beauty. I m very happy you loved the room and the general setting of the hotel We always take suggestions very serious because what we care only is provide the best experience to our guest. We have verify the problem of the shower with the maintenance guys. We can absolutely confirm that all our room presently and in the past have and had nice and worm shower. in the case of your room the maintenance have reported a problem with the shower valve (it was just 8 month old) this is why water was to hot or difficult to be regulate. Valve has been replaced. About service satisfaction I'm truly sorry. We had no complain so far about it. We take yours on board and we are try make any improvements is possible. The reason why few items at time are not available on the restaurant menus is because we shopping at the fresh market only. We have a straight policy about it " fresh or nothing" I apologise but not compromise on fresh food only. My verification shoe that during your stay we was missing one dish between the starter and 2 dishes between the main. I sincerely apologise. Phone and internet at the hotel work at all time. You have emailed the London reservation office instead of calling the hotel directly to let us know about your last minute change of arrival place. The Cabins selling food on the beach without argue on the flavour of them serve food can not be supported at all. I m sorry to be so determine on this point. This Cabin have no legal licence no running water no swage system, no hygiene standard in place or knowledge about it no garbage disposal system. Them operate without any conscious for the environment and contribute to destroyed the unspoiled beach of Chatham Bay. We hope you will soon visit us again to check on our improvements. Best Regards

A review I feel is totally unjustified. After numerous attempts at trying to contact yourself, we had not been able to. I personally sent you a message via expedia, which you have read and not responded to, asking your time of arrival in order for us to arrange your transfer. There was no attempt to contact the hotel to inform us of your means of transport or your delay. I am sorry for the inconvenience, however one star in my opinion is totally uncalled for considering we had done all we could to contact yourself with no response!

Dear Guest, I will like to first thanks you for stay with us and for your feedback. I am sorry the dock wasn’t long enough to accommodate the Power Boat you arrive with; we are currently extending it for the upcoming season. We sorry you felt alone but normally end of October up to first or second week of November is low season in the St.Vincent and the Grenadines. I am pleased that you enjoyed the food, we put a lot of effort in our product and continue to improve it daily. Soon we will have the authentic Italian wood pizza oven, already installed, functioning for the upcoming season. With regards with to the pool, I personally agree with you, but other clients appreciate the salt water pool. Just different opinion I believe. Fresh water is precious on the Grenadines Island and maintaining a fresh water pool located on the beach so close to the sea will require a tremendous amount of fresh water to be add on a weekly base and also a lot of chemical to keep it clean. Hence why we prefer a salt water pool, it doesn’t require chemical to be functional because changed continue without create any contamination of the environment. We are committed to preserve our beautiful environment without compromising. We strive to excel daily to keep the resort beautiful and a place of tranquility for our guests.
