Enjoyed the grounds which were charming. The cottage was just big enough for 2 adults + 1 toddler, although any smaller and it would be too small. We took 2 kayaks out and it was a blast. Food at the restaurant was very good, although the pub had all of the other customers (no minors allowed). The personal hot-tub just outside was very welcome, although it was unable to keep temperature with the bubbles going.
We had some concern about cleanliness of the dishes because guests must clean them with the provided soap, by hand. We wondered if they were cleaned by staff as well.
We went down the street to the Alderbrook one evening. If we could afford it, we would stay there next time.
Overall, it was a nice experience in between a hotel, and camping.
