I was very impressed with the variety of food presented during breakfast, there was a large variety of pastries, with gluten free options for thoes requiring it; they even had hot food. The room I was in was good however, I struggled to get hot water for my shower, this could have been due to the renovations taking place during my stay.

The hotel is in a very convenient location for me . The room, although warm, clean and modern, was not well designed, with little drawer space. The buffet breakfasts were adequate although with a very limited hot selection which ran out at times. Noise seemed to travel from adjoining rooms. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice reasonably sized room and bathroom. Firm bed. Was a bit noisy at times with the trams. Good selection for breakfast.

The hotel is excellent. My room was pretty big. The staff was very friendly. My only suggestion is to update the room keys.

Great Hotel!
Amazing little hotel. Modern, clean and friendly. Lovely beds, nice spacious bathrooms and fabulous breakfasts provided to start the day. Loved every minute of my stay here.

The location is quite far from the city's attractions. The hotel lobby has a modern design. The room inner courtyard view is not nice. There is no wardrobe in the room but only few hangers. The room heating system works well. The breakfast is good. There are tea maker and complimentary bottle of water in the room.

A decent stay spoiled
The hotel is older but in good condition and very clean. The area is not particularly interesting, and nearby restaurant options are fairly limited. One significant problem, however, was that, when I checked out, the desk clerk refused to believe that I had pre-paid my room and made me pay again, despite the fact I had received the message from hotels.com confirming my payment. Figuring I would settle the matter later, I left the hotel to see Turin but had the hotel hold by bag for pick up later. When I returned to get my luggage, another desk clerk said I had created some doubt in his colleague, who had done some research after I left and discovered that the room had already been paid via expedia. The desk clerk handed me an envelope in cash for the room charge they had forced me to pay earlier in the day (which also was different from what I paid online). Needless to say, this experience was unpleasant and left me wondering whether the problem was just incompetence on the part of the hotel or something more corrupt, particularly when the desk clerk insisted on giving me the refund in cash rather than just cancelling the credit card charge I had made in the morning. The explanation that the charge had already been submitted and could not be withdrawn did not make sense. Hotels.com might want to do some investigating, especially if this property has seen a similar incident in the past.

Dear Mr Christopher, We inform you that the person who ws at the front desk, was not aware of your pre payment, this was due to a mistake made in registering your reservation. When he realized that the payment had been received twice, he left an envelope for you at the reception with your luggage. We confirm also that it was not possible to cancel the credit charge made. The amount that was refund (€58,30) was the exact amount that the hotel gets from Expedia (hotels.com) for the payment of your room. In the morning you paid a different amount (€ 62,00) because the City Tax (€ 3,70) was not included in your pre payment and it was still due to the hotel. The first amount (which we don’t know) you paid when you confirmed your reservation on hotels.com is higher than that because it is including also the commissions that you pay to the website. Great Hotel With Free Breakfast
Hotel Lancaster was great! Super easy check-in, nice concierges, clean room, comfortable bed, and the free breakfast was really nice. Only stayed for 1 night but wish I was there longer. Just make sure you're comfortable with the location, as its a bit of a walk to the center.

Good location for access to the Center and to the Politecnico. Fast access to taxi services. A good restaurant nearby. A grocery store opened 24 hours at a 5 minutes walk.

The breakfast was good. The room was clean. the location of the hotel is a bit far away the spectacular places of the city. The bath was very good for a 3-stars hotel. A negative point was that the mini bar was empty!!

Clean and confortable hotel
It was a nice place, clean and comfortable with helpful and endearing staff. The breakfast was good. It is about 15 walk frm the train station Porta Nouva . U can take a tram thought abt 3 stops. Buy the tram ticket for 1.5 euro frm a newsstand or a parking meter machine.

Stayed here when the UEFA Cup final was held in Turin. Hotel served its purpose and is handy if travelling into Porta Nuova train station and is only 10 minutes walk from there, or a number 4 (i think) tram. The neighbourhood is okay and a couple of blocks down there is a carrefour supermarket. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was typical continental fayre, cold meats, cheeses etc. The room itself was a little tired but well kept. Much to my brother's annoyance the air-con wasn't working in our room but the outside temperature was not hot enough to make this essential. Bathroom was a good size and clean. Served a purpose but if you're hoping for nice and modern this probably isn't for you as its in need of a make-up and a few fixed here and there.
