I stayed at the county arms 2 nights in a row while my partner was in hospital. They made the whole process so easy and made me feel very welcome. The rooms were gorgeous and the staff were very helpful. Can't wait to come back with my partner when he's better!

Every staff member I came into contact with were friendly, professional and caring. The food was well prepared and served in a timely manner. Bed very comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Fine…. Soft bed!
Stayed whilst working in Truro centre. The building and carpark are good, lots of parking for my big van. The room was ok, I booked the deluxe double and didn’t get a sofa or armchair as shown on the images, the bed was far too soft, like it was made of sponge so sleep could have been better. Coffee and tea in room were good, TV was 6 channels only so no freeview. Bathroom was small and a bit tired, had an evening meal in the pub and that was pretty good with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. I paid £109 for 1 midweek night and that did not include breakfast. I would probably think twice before booking again.. but if you don’t mind paying a little more for location it’s an acceptable stay.

A good stay in Truro.
We had a lovely smiling welcome & treated with great respect at reception. All the staff we encountered were very friendly & so helpful. Room was clean & comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was more than adequate & tasty. Would definitely go back again.

Stay at County Arms, Truro.
Stayed in a superior room which is situated at the back away from the road. Lovely room with good facilities and comfortable bed. Staff behind the reception desk are very accommodating. The breakfasts are very good and the evening meals are well prepared served by attentive staff. This is my second stay and would happily recommend it especially if working at the hospital. There is a bus stop very close by to take you into Truro or in the opposite direction.

Room was lovely but the bathroom could do with a thorough clean. Lots of mildew in shower area and tiles were grubby. Panel underneath the sink at the join was very dirty. Food and service were both very good

We stayed for three nights and it made a good base for visiting both the north and south coastline. The friendly and helpful staff are a strong feature of the hotel! The menu is varied and the food is well presented and good. The dining room has beautiful views over the countryside and you can sit outside on the balcony - it is lovely and quite a surprise as the hotel is situated on a main road. We had a good sized, double room, facing the road but were not disturbed by traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable and there were tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms, as well as bottled water. The toiletries provided were Elemis and the towels were a good size and soft. It was a pleasure to return to the hotel after a day exploring. We would definitely recommend ‘The County Arms’ to others looking for a omgortsnle, welcoming place to stay.

Not a pub! Make table reservations in advance.
After a very long day of driving, was unable to eat or drink at the hotel due to the restaurant being fully booked. Would’ve made do with a drink in the bar but there were no stools or sofas, it seems this place is not actually a pub, it’s a restaurant, so if you don’t have a table reserved to sit at you're turned away, not what we were expecting at all. Offered the option to eat in room but would have been uncomfortable and awkward to dine sitting on the bed. Cannot understand why a few tables weren’t reserved for hotel guests. We even had a giftcard to use for dinner but left unable to use it and not planning to return to this St Austell Brewery pub. Sorry, i mean restaurant. Overheard a family with small children also staying in the hotel unable to get a table which I imagine must’ve been difficult. On a positive, the room/linens/bathroom were all very clean. Receptionists friendly & helpful.

Room was very nice. The service at the restaurant was very quick. Food was good (had fish and chips for dinner and eggs royal for breakfast) Waiter was very efficient and the pint of Tribute was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place.

Solo traveller.
Sólo stay for a wedding nearby. Clean, light and comfortable room.Good shower in the bath, nice toiletries. Only issue was the Aircon kept turning itself back on. Coffee machine in the room was a nice touch.
