It's an easy walk to the ski hill or Northstar Village, so you can spend wintertime days snowshoeing, skiing, or snow tubing. Even better, there are minimal stairs and you'll have easy access to a ski locker, so you can save your energy for the slopes. Spend the warm months hiking, mountain biking, climbing, enjoying nearby Lake Tahoe, or shopping and dining in charming downtown Truckee, just to the north. When the weather permits, you can walk to ski runs that access both gondolas, and there are free shuttle services throughout the resort. At home, grab a cup of coffee and start the day on your deck, enjoying the crisp air and mountain view. Inside, you’ll find abundant natural light, mountain-modern furnishings, heated floors, and an open floor plan. The chef will love the sleek, updated kitchen, with high-end, stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space, and everyone can dine together at the table for four. In the evening, snuggle up on the couch in front of the gas fireplace while you stream the latest shows or use the free WiFi to post the day’s pics to social media. Enjoy access to the Northstar recreation center amenities, which include tennis courts, basketball courts, a fitness center, a sauna, a hot tub, a seasonal lap pool, and an open grill area next to a beautiful creek surrounded by pine, fir, and aspen trees. (Site rentals include the use of three picnic tables and up to two gas BBQ grills with grilling utensils.) There is a $10 daily fee per person for use of the facilities. There was a very loud beeping sound coming from the utility room that shares the wall with the bedroom. No hot water in the unit. So hot water issue i guess you can survive. But the beeping sound continued all night and no one slept - pure torture. I contacted Vacasa through multiple channels that evening asking either fix it or provide another unit for the night. Apparently, Vacasa doesn't even manage this unit and they don't have a team on the ground to address anything - that's was the response from an AI sounding agent over text and phone call exchange. Admittedly it was late in the day and after hours, but the very least Vacasa could do is find another unit for us - it doesn't require much effort. The local property manager had it fixed by the end of the next day but it really ruined our mini-vacation. ##### Mariya C. However, the condo itself was uncomfortable. There were no bed sheets for the sofabed, no parking passes provided to park in the lot, the laundry room was locked, and the oven was not functioning (not allowing us to make chicken nuggets for the kiddos). We contacted vacasa at least a dozen times, not an exaggeration, and none of our requests/needs were resolved. We had to sleep without pillow covers or bed sheets. Also the blankets has questionable stains. I would have washed the sheets or blankets if they were provided; however, as stated the laundry room was locked and inaccessible. The beds were are uncomfortable. I would not stay here again, and I will refrain from booking with vacasa again. 3 stars for location ##### Harvinder K.
