It's newly furnished and offers a variety of sleeping options, as well as an open floor plan with plenty of private space as well. Gather together on the multiple decks to spend time in the sun! Kids will have plenty of space in the enclosed play area in the backyard. High-speed WiFi adds convenience during your stay. Spend your afternoons at the shared pool or in the hot tub. In the heart of Tahoe Donner, you will find all of the Trout Creek Recreation amenities right at your fingertips! (Access to the Tahoe Donner facilities requires an additional per-person daily fee.) This home is within walking distance of the Trout Creek Recreation Center and is only a short drive from Downtown Truckee. You can grab a burger at Squeeze In or a burrito at the laid-back Casa Baeza Mexican Restaurant. Enjoy both winter and summer activities at the Squaw Valley & Northstar resort, as well as Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe, and more! THINGS TO KNOW Following the Tahoe Donner HOA agreements, gatherings of people not renting the home are not allowed. Authorities will be notified if there is a party or large gathering in the home. No excessive noise and/or trash. All exterior lights must be turned off between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am, seven days a week. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of dishes of various sizes including what look like brand new bowls. We were very excited about the house given the number of 5 star reviews from prior visitors. The cabin is in an excellent location in Tahoe Donner – on a nice, quiet street and a quick drive to Truckee. The house itself is in fair condition, rather dated, and is pretty bare bones. The kitchen area is a galley and is cramped. The stove is electric, there is a potpourri of dishes and glasses, and the available appliances and utensils are older but workable. On the positive side, the heating system worked well and Vacasa service was responsive to helping address issues associated with a snowstorm. Efforts have been made to try to spruce up the cabin with some brightly colored furniture and sheets, but it’s still an older, not particularly well-maintained home in need of some updating. Huge amount of outdoor/indoor space with sun on the decks in the mornings and cooling shade in the late afternoons. Television/WiFi worked flawlessly and the kitchen was also very well appointed with everything from wine glasses to pots and pans to a well equipped pantry to a 10 cup coffee maker (Vacasa should update their "In the Home" listing which indicates only a single cup coffee maker). There was even an extra full propane tank in the garage for the outdoor grill. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with big bathrooms (2 en-suite) all with walk in showers. The only downside to the trip was the slow fishing which was easily overlooked once we got back to the house for cocktails on the deck. A great home which we will definitely rent again! The house had plenty of space and great internet connection so that we could all do our work/distance learning. The location is awesome- downtown Truckee and Donner Lake are just a quick 10min drive.
