The tub shower was elevated, so it made it difficult getting in and out. Also, the water pressure in the bathroom sink was very poor.

It was so different from my usual Hotel accommodation Ie Premier Inns , very quirky but interesting and comfortable and staff helpful can't fault it breakfast was good and comprehensive

The price of a Continental breakfast at £14.50 per head is extortionate and any coked breakfast as an extra is £10.00. The evening meal was very expensive. The room we had was really lovely but cold , the heating was turned off at night.

The building and setting was gorgeous. Had dinner and breakfast options, and a bar. Rooms were clean and spacious and bed was comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Good location awful food
The hotel room was good, however the food was awful, I ordered fish and chips, the fish could have been used as a house brick, and the chips were hard as rock, when I tried to put my fork in it it shot off the plate and landed on the floor. I took the batter off and just ate the fish and left the batter. I ordered a Pironi and got given a London pride, I didn't complain as I have never had a London pride. The room was freezing cold but clean. Would I be going back, not very likely.

Fantastic hotel, very cheap for the quality! Very clean, great amenities and a very high end experience for a low end price! Staff were always super helpful too! Definitely coming again!

This was the 2nd time of staying at The Moonraker & I will not hesitate to stay again. Staff were helpful & friendly. I had a lovely room (21) The food although expensive was very good.

All was good apart from lack of heating in our room. After 2 days we told the management, but still no heat when we returned in the evening. We were given a blow heater, and the system was tweaked into action for a couple of hours, but no heat again in the morning!!

Nice accommodation, eat elsewhere.
Room was lovely if a little musty smelling. Layout was different and suited us well. Food was good but not if you are hungry. Very small portions, lack of vegetables and high prices for both food and drink. Ended the meal still feeling hungry which isn’t what you want after spending over £70.

Amazing - believe me
People often leave reviews about hotels on websites and, whenever you read them, you’re always skeptical. However, with The Moonraker, it was perfection. A beautiful venue looked after attentively by kind and caring staff that go above and beyond. Spacious and gorgeous rooms at an amazing value. This truly was an incredible place to stay, and as soon as we left, we were discussing when we could come back!

If you like an old rustic place this is it. The hotel is great the restaurant is OK if you are into gourmet food. Small portions but very tasty.

The staff were outstanding and friendly. There was a problem with the toilet seat that was fixed by a receptionist. There is an hourly bus service to Bath which saves hassle of parking. The Apple Cider Sorbet is delicious.

It is a beautifully presented property both inside and out. Very comfortable room and bed. Downside was the price of breakfast which we thought was very expensive so had to source breakfast elsewhere.

Picturesque but some attention required.
The staff were delightful, the food was tasty. The room was in good condition and the area is lovely. Two points that were not great, first there was no fan in the room and it was hot. You couldn’t open the windows fully as they have wires on them to prevent that. So it was stuffy. Second and more importantly, it needs de-wood lousing. There are lots of old beams in the room and we had wood lice in the bed. It was not pleasant and the child I was with did not react well. As there are no staff at the property overnight, there was nothing to be done but to get on with it.

The Moonraker Hotel is an unusual set of buildings and is dated but comfortable. Our room was a little squeezy with old style heavy furniture. It could do with a full refurbishment apart from the front office and restaurant which appear to have been updated. The restaurant is fine and serves good quality food and the staff are attentive. The highlight was the Manager, James, and the Front Office personnel, Alice, who went out of her way to be pleasant and to assist us in several ways for example with train ticket booking and taxi. This made our stay extremely memorable for this older couple. We regard ourselves as extremely fortunate to have chosen to stay at The Moonraker and to have met such nice people.
