: When we arrived at the property, we were greeted by two people who didn't speak English. We were given no instructions on wifi, the unit, television, or anything. The room smelled like smoke and the bed was hard. I wouldn't stay here again. When we arrived at midnight it was only 9:00 pm our local time and we weren't tired, we tried to watch TV but couldn't figure it out, everything said we had to sign in. Also, no wife was given so I couldn't stay on our cells. The stay was disappointing, to say the least

Reception closes at 11pm. At least you were able to check-in at midnight and not stay locked outside. Its our pleasure to help you with everything you need given you check-in before 11pm.

Pretty creeped out at first due to the location but surprisingly the inside was decent and clean. They just need new towels. The bath towels are pretty thin. Over all I give it a 8/10. (Motel standards.)

I really liked my stay here. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The room was surprisingly lovely for the price. I was just there for an overnight stay while travelling, but I’m already planning to come back for a weekend!

All was fine until checkout - fire door was locked between motel and office, front office door was locked. No instructions given. Left key on step in front of door.

For check out we tell everyone to leave the key in the room and leave by their outside door. The reception door opens at 7 AM.

Overall, very good place to stay. The pool was a nice touch. If you’re looking to a convenient place to stay that is not to far from the national park then I highly recommend. There isn’t much in the area otherwise (and be mindful that most restaurants are shut Mondays and Tuesdays).

Renovated, clean, quier and very comfortable bed.
Stay was great, clean, quiet and the bed very comfortable. Would go back. The outside needs a little updating but the room was renovated and nice.

We spent 3 days at la Rocaille 24-27June 2022. We had a very nice stay and staff were very welcoming and courteous. Our suite room was very comfortable. My wife is a cleanliness freak and she found the room was sparkling clean (as well as the whole auberge). Not a fancy place but EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY. I would highly recommend this auberge to anyone visiting the Shawinigan region.
