Amazing Place - Amazing Owner
Amazing place. A 5 Euro cab ride away from Kalambaka station. We only stayed one night, however, Thalia was amazing. She drove us to one monastery given that we had very little time. She went above and beyond to do this for us and refused any money for the drive. The room is clean and comfortable with fridge and safe, shower is a little small but definitely manageable. Kitchen, laundry and breakfast coffee/tea are free for guests. Restaurants, supermarket and town square are a 20 meter walk from the guest house. The incredible mountains can be seen from the room itself.

Gorgeous room!
Stayed with a friend. We had an amazing stay! The room was modern. The staff were polite. We ended up Ariving over 2 hours after check out andthey still were patient and smiley. The veiw from the room was stunning! You're practicality right under one of the giant rocks!

Dear David, Thank you for your nice comment. Unfortunately I was not there because you booked at very very last minute on December 21st at 14:00 for the same day check-in. We are a small friendly Guesthouse with 3 rooms and there is no 24 hours reception like in big hotels. That's why we prefer to receive bookings a little bit more in advance to have time to send a welcoming email giving some advice and tips on how to come and what to do during your stay. Thalia is the sweetest!
This is essentially a privately owned guest house. It is hard to find in the small village, but Thalia came and met me near the church square and then drove me up the hill to the guest house. She showed us around, we had the two rooms upstairs, there is also a room downstairs. There is excellent WIFI, washer (no Dryer). The mattresses are okay, not great. The shower is small, but so clean. The entire place is spotless. There is a great tavern down the street the Gardenia which you should definitely walk too, the owners are good friends of Thalia and very hospitable. We stayed one night, but you could easily stay here a few nights. This is a great spot for a couple or for a family with two kids.

Perfect for an overnight stay.
The host Thalia was very friendly, showed us the room and gave local information. It's not really a hotel as such, but there is a small common kitchen area where you can make tea and eat brought in snacks. Meteora is a wonderful place to visit and this village location at Kastraki already places you right beneath these mysterious rocks.

Excellent choice in Kastraki
Thalia was very helpful, either by mail or in person. It es very well located for walks to the monasteries. We strongly reccomend Thalia Guest house.

Great value, great place
We arrived early and received a warm and friendly welcome. The rooms were small but lovely. Didn't spend a lot of time in the bedrooms anyway as it was an easy walk to a few of the monasteries. Also an easy walk to a supermarket and a great local taverna. Host was lovely. Kitchen and cooking facilities were great.

Fantastic for a family of 6
We stayed as a family of 6 and booked the entire three-bedroom hotel. Strong wifi and very clean. The view of the cliffs and the monasteries was breathtaking. There is also a path behind the hotel to walk all the way up to the monasteries, which was actually our favorite part of the trip. It's a little ways away from downtown but has fantastic restaurants and bakeries nearby. It's nice that it is a little quieter, though if you arrive at night like we did, do not attempt to walk and find the place. The only thing is that they do not accept credit card - which was quite annoying when we had to go and pull out cash in the middle of the night.

The house was well furnished and renovated. Small but fully equipped kitchen on the first floor along with one of the rooms and two rooms are located on the upper floor. Nice view of part of Meteora rocks. Very quiet and peaceful location. No designated parking spots - took one as per hosts recommendation after which an angry neighbor rang at the door and started yelling in Greek to move my car. Only 2 or 3 spots available for this house (3 rooms) and the house next door (2-3+ rooms I presume). The host was very friendly and welcoming although she did not speak any English so do not expect a lot of information if you need it. The whole place is very claustrophobic but really cozy. So if you just go with the idea of that you will be just fine. For bigger people it's really hard to take a shower. There is no head stand for the shower up high so you have to hold the shower head all the time and the shower cabin is about 40cm (16in) wide and I could not turn around once inside - the way you walk in and slide the door is the way you are going to shower. If someone can hold the shower head for you that's the best solution. The wardrobe is not fully functional because you cannot open the right-hand side door just enough to pull any of the drawers below - but for a one night stay you don't really need any of it. The room is decorated very good but it's just not the right color palette for a room with those dimensions. Overall great but only for a night.

We loved our brief stay at Thalia House. It literally is a small house with three bedrooms, and we used the two upstairs - one for us and one for our two kids. It's an easy walk to a bakery for breakfast, and we also took a couple of walks up the hill for some incredible views. This is not in a hotel area, but a local neighborhood, so it's fun to feel like a local.

Small but very nice
The guest house was small, but sufficient for our needs: 3 guest rooms and a kitchen. The rooms were compact. The kitchen was stocked with basic utensils, tea, coffee, etc and was easy to use. Used the kitchen as a place to eat and read and use the computer. The house has wifi. The beds were OK (could have been a bit more comfortable). My bathroom was better proportioned, but my daughters' shower was extremely narrow and they had to stand sideways to wash themselves. Thalia is very helpful and accommodating, keeps the place clean and fresh. You can see that she takes pride in her guest house. She speaks French, so knowing French makes it easier to communicate. All in all we had a good time in beautiful Meteora and enjoyed being at Thalia's.

Great location. Close to many good tavernas. Step out the door and you are only a short walk to "monks paths". Small common kitchen that even has a washing machine. Best room we had in Greece. Even a fridge and A/C. Building reno completed just two years ago.

In the middle of Meteora
You can stay there for one day or for the whole week, doesn't matter. It comes with all amenities of a guest-house, including a washing machine and a dryer, as well as the complete full-function kitchen. Our room was located at the entrance on the ground floor. It was the contemporary (or should we say modern) room with all one would expect to have in a three or 3+ hotel. One word of caution though: the shower is NOT for large people. Also, do not be shy to tell your neighbors above that you might wish to have a nap or just try to not be noisy. The guest house is located on the steep hill with not a lot pf space for a car - so be ready to park where you see space. Internet was working fine. Meteora's attractions started right at the door - what more to look for?

We took a taxi from the kalambaka train station and it only cost us 5 euro and took us 5 minutes to reach Thalia. Great views, beautiful rooms and there is a kitchen fully stocked where you can prepare own meals. Very close to the amazing meteora. Just need to take a local bus about 5 mins away from Thalia rooms. I'll strongly recommend Thalia rooms.

You cannot get any closer to those monasteries than this place. You look out of the window and you can almost touch those rocks.

A beautiful home and room, very modern amenities. The space is small but you get a lot in that space including: a common area with modern stove, fridge, plenty of cutlery, coffee and tea, coffee maker washer machine; all this made it feel like home. The room and common room are very clean, location is unbeatable near a few restaurants and shops. The owner is very helpful and attentive to your needs. I would stay there again and highly recommend it.

Adorable hotel stay and great service
This hotel only has 3 rooms so if you're travelling with six people total, you could rent out the entire place. It has a perfectly designed kitchen and real fireplace (common to all three rooms) and there are lots of amenities (shampoos and soaps, coffee & tea, free wifi, safes, hair dryers and mini fridges). Thalia herself was very kind and met us at the hotel upon our arrival. The bathrooms and common area are both small, but everything was so well designed and functional that the size wasn't a hindrance. Regarding accessibilily to the monesteries in the area: you could begin a hike from the hotel and make it to the closest monestery in rough 15 minutes. We chose to drive though and that was nice as well. Restaurants in the immediate area were all tasty Greek homestyle options.
