"I found Zora's Sojourn (ZS) while looking for interesting, eclectic, budget-friendly and locally-owned lodging for my friend and I for a girls' weekend. ZS supassed all of our expectations, which were already high after reading the reviews. The room was pristine with a charming minimalist aesthetic and all of the accommodations and amenities we needed. We were especially appreciative of the comfortable beds, powerful air conditioning unit, and bottled waters in the mini-fridge after a day of walking downtown! The owners were so helpful answering our questions during check in and recommended local eateries for our stay. The property's connection to author Zora Neale Hurston is fascinating. We will definitely be rebooking and highly recommend to anyone looking for lodging in the St Augustine area."

"The rooms were really spacious and nicely decorated. The parking attendants were super friendly and helped the guest find cool places to check out in St. Augustine. The property was well maintained. The bridge to the downtown area was closed, so it was a little longer walk than we planned for. My only complaint was the lack of waffles in the breakfast area and the breads were not well stocked. I ended up with oatmeal, which could have used some brown sugar and/or nuts. The breakfast area was clean and offered a great view of the river. If your room sits on the river side, you should be able to see the historical area. Otherwise, you have a view of the parking lot and a road. The rooms were quiet."

"I liked the location of the property as it was only feet away from to the hop off hoop on tram stop. it also had a few good restaurants within easy walking distance.The room was clean & the staff accommodating.I stayed there twice in 2 weeks and my only complaint was the office chairs could not be adjusted and were too low to be of use and the ac made the rooms smell a bit musty."

"No idea where all of those "10/10" reviews come from. This place is a 2 at best. This is your stereotypical cheap FL motel that you see in the movies, and the people staying there were a reflection of that. Loud, dirty, careless, inconsiderate. Screaming kids with no supervision, loud phone conversations outside so everyone can hear your drama, working on vehicles in the parking lot, playing music outside until 1-2am on a weeknight, almost every room had a makeshift table for smoking and drinking outside the door. But those are the people, and I'm just setting the scene for the motel review...This place is trash, but they're very proud of their trash. The first thing I noticed was a sign at the check-in desk saying not to put the towels and washcloths on the floor because they'll get dirty and you'll be charged an extra cleaning fee... Um, the only way they're getting dirty is if the floors aren't clean. Once I got in the room, I saw that they definitely were not. Especially in the bathroom. Floors were visibly dirty, and even had somebody's buttcrack-rolled toilet paper on the floor. And those towels they're so protective of are see-through, and the washcloths literally had holes worn in them. Most uncomfortable mattress I've ever laid on. I stacked the two together to try to get some relief. Not sure if it worked, but I went with it. Clothes rack was rusted and corroded. Poorly repaired holes in the wall. Coffee creamer packets so old they were solid like hard candy."

"These guys have this short term stay thing figured out. Great communication the entire stay with Lynn. Place was decorated perfectly, stocked great. The only real downside is the parking ramp height. That thing is steep and awkwardly angled so that our minivan would scrape every time in and out of the property. Light scrapes but scrapes nonetheless. Still worth five stars though. Thank you Lynn and team!"

"This was the perfect accommodation for a weekend in St. A for four family members. It was well appointed, clean, parking spots for two vehicles and close to the historic district attractions. "
