Room was average the pool was nice. They were having colder temps in pool then normal. The water in splash pad was ice cold.

When I checked in I was told that room service wouldn’t be attending to my room (because I booked via 3rd Party?) I also was not informed about any shuttle service, my room was actually off the main resort. The room itself was gross. It smelled terrible and the mildew was unbearable. I actually checked out a day early because it was effecting my breathing. When I checked out no one asked how my stay was or why I was leaving early. I NEVER complain but this was an awful stay. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent luxury stay!! Plenty of restaurants and shopping within the resort, but also close to town and casino. Very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!!

We had a Shores condo that was excellent, especially liked the bright white towels and bedding. Could have used extra blankets/pillows for the sofa bed but managed with what we brought. Great location and plan on returning next year. Checkin staff were a little cold. Heed the after swim shower warnings, we all reacted to the chlorine level. Changing rooms a little dingy. A few small observations that held us back from an overall excellent rating

This used to be the place to stay in Traverse City. It has gone down hill. I’ve had 2 stays here in 3 weeks and both were awful. The walls in the bathroom were dirty and disgusting and the noise from other rooms is unbearable. The walls are paper thin. And upper management does not care. Sad, this place will likely continue to decline, especially when management refuses to listen to its customers. Awful.

We received a much lower rate through Expedia, when we checked in the check in person said they do not see the amount we pay for the night. Parts of the hotel are under renovation. The lobby needs some love, its underwhelming and the bar feels like an after thought-a weird vibe. The other bar is right off the elevators and feels very awkward to have to walk through it to get to your room if you are not in the main tower. The room was nice, bathroom was fresh-great shower and the beds were comfortable. The pool, hot tub, indoor tennis courts area-great! If you have kids this pool area will not disappoint! They have a lot of things to play on and your kids will sleep well! We did a couples massage-which was fantastic. We wish we would have known all the spa area had to offer-steam room, sauna, great locker room with hair dryers etc. We would have booked a different time to take advantage of all that area had to offer-amazing staff, great massage!!! We travel to this area a lot so we will be watching Expedia for such a great rate so we can do it again.

It was loud having to walk thru a sports bar to get too and from my room. I was in the family section where kids were running around at 10 pm to 11 pm. I had a dead bug in my window and the tv remote battery died at 11 pm.

Our first room smelled so badly of dog urine we had to be moved. They moved us to a supposedly upgrade, a suite, but it had a view of a brick wall. We drove 3 hours each way to look out at a brick wall. It took 90 minutes just to get into the room we didn’t even want a suite. Then we returned to a tower room for the next night and there was hair in the sink and all over the bathroom walls - I took photos , the carpet was frayed and a trip hazard. They gave us breakfast coupons for all the problems and when we ordered breakfast, I ordered eggs Benedict and they send fried eggs, also have a photo. This place has gone downhill and when I asked for further compensation, the manager told me they already upgraded us and they actually lost money on our stay. I will be getting in touch with the tribe with my photos and concerns.

Off season at this property, so take that into consideration. I have stayed here many times, but this was on New Year’s Day. It is not conveniently located. I arrived after a nine hour drive. Asked for a late checkout due to having a spa appointment at the property at noon. Staff said noon is fine. I asked for 2. even though the hotel was at very low capacity, they said no. Went to my room, unpacked and put on pajamas. When I washed my hands in the bathroom, noticed the pipe under the sink was dislodged and water started pouring everywhere. Cleaned it up, got dressed, packed everything, and went downstairs to get a new room and explain what happened. Front desk was quick to give me a new room, but didn’t make any attempt to apologize for my inconvenience. First room was much nicer. This room smelled terrible and was loud. Acquiring food was tougher during the off-season as well. Had I known that, I would have stayed closer to town. Awoken every morning at 7 with staff yelling in the hall. Was pressured to leave before my “late” checkout. My spa experience was… icy. From check-in, where the front desk staff barely made eye contact, to the cold room, cold bed, and uncomfortable spa treatment (my masseusse was nice, but very rough and leaned over and accidentally put a body part in my mouth… got a wrap treatment but the room was so cold that the hot, wet towels quickly became cold, wet towels.) Very stressful trip. I used to love this place.
