This hotel located in nice area, in 15 minutes of walking you can reach good restaurants and bars. The rooms are spacious, nice interior. The TV is old and small, but who cares;) swimming pool insane. I don’t like variety on breakfast curse, but eggs station and fruits not bad. I was a little bit disappointed that hotel provide used havaianas instead new sleepers.

This place is dirty. The bed sheets were dirty with stains and I asked for them to be changed. They changed them with even dirtier sheets. The lounge chairs look like they have not been cleaned for years.

It was a great getaway, the check in was very easy and quick and the staff was helpful. After check in I went to go have lunch and it’s nothing crazy just your basic hotel menu like chicken club and pad Thai. But the staff waited the whole time while we looked and ordered. Toey was our server and was so sweet but coming from a hospitality background she should’ve took our drink orders first and let us look at the menu and came back to get our final order not very 5 diamond. It was raining so went to the room and had room service and everything was fast and tasted great. Then came the breakfast buffet again nothing crazy just your basic breakfast but what made it better was the server touch! He was so nice and attentive and was on it with everything from refilling my coffee to showing me where the bathroom was. Then went to beach it was a bit disappointing in the sense there was small bits of trash and small plastic bits all over the beach. I wanted to rake the beach for free! But other than that everything else was great. Thank you Dewa Hotel I will come back again.

Comfortable rooms, great facilities
A lovely hotel. Rooms are large and very comfortable. The pool is excellent and the beach recliners and beach bar are nice. The breakfast is fairly standard and the beach is nice but small. The hotel seems to take sustainability and water use seriously, but allowing a smaller flush on toilets would make a big difference.

An older property with excellent rooms and a fine pool. The resort food / drinks was of high quality but it was expensive compared to restaurants of similar quality nearby. The breakfast was a weak point compared to other resorts that we have stayed in on the same beach.

Little slice of heaven - oceanfront in Koh Chang
Stay at the Dewa was great - nice facility and a beautiful beach. Enjoyed the hotel spa services as well. Breakfast included and was outstanding. Dinners on the beach a bit less impressive. I was initially “upgraded” to a little round villa room which was a bit tired. Relocated to the deluxe room I had reserved and it was really great. Pool is lovely and service from hotel staff good all around.

Amazing hotel despite guests with annoying habits!
Amazing stay at the Dewa. Can def recommend it. The guests there have a terrible habit of reserving sun beds from early morning by placing their towels and personal belongings before going back to sleep leaving very few to early birds who actually wants to use the sun beds. There’s a sign telling guests not to do so which is ignored but I wish the hotel staff would help remind people. Btw credit to the bartender in the pool. Amazing cocktails!

Highly recommend
We had a lovely stay at the Dewa. It is excellent value for money - rooms are HUGE, lovely pool, lovely beach area with beds and great breakfasts. Although busy, it was never ‘too busy’ or you always found beds. Staff are all very friendly too. Perfect spot for sunsets. Lots of restaurants a few minutes walk away (turn right when you get to the main road), or taxi for 50BHT per person - would stay again without a doubt.

Damp, dirty, dingy room. Holiday ruined
I cannot believe how awful this hotel is. The reviews are surely left by people they pay or by bots. We were due to stay here 4 nights over Songkran but checked out after 1. We were allocated room 216: a damp, dark, dingy, disgusting, smelly room with dirty, tatty bedsheets, not cleaned properly and mould all over the shower curtain. Complained to reception who moved us next door as they were fully booked and the allocated guests hadn't checked in yet. Not much better. We were told we would be upgraded to a villa room for our last 2 nights but after spending a night in a bed that smelled like a wet baby's nappy, we could not wait to get out and go elsewhere. 5000 baht a night for that!! Amek at reception was completely incompetent at dealing with us and the GM wasn't much better. We managed to get our money back for the remaining 3 nights, but only after they made it as difficult and stressful as possible. Needless to say I would not recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel. Staff and service was amazing.
Overall a great experience. 2nd stay here and has exceeded expectations both times. Cleanliness of the rooms is good but there are a couple of areas that could be improved. (Shower area and ceiling). Pool was a little dirty at times although being on an island this may have come throughout the day from the surrounding trees and plants. Service was really amazing and made the stay for us both. Menu was pretty good but was out of a few items we requested and could use a little more selectiion. Prices were high outside of happy hour. Was a bit disappointed to hear from the staff that they dont get the service charge from the bills? Between us this amounted to a couple of thousand baht. (Where does it go)?

Lovely hotel; close to the beach
29 March 2018 - just arrived back from a wonderful holiday at The Dewa - Koh Chang. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The beach is very clean and perfect for children as it shelves gently. I liked the design of the hotel even though it's not 'traditional' Thai. However, I would say that the use of black tiles around the pool, although aesthetically pleasing, get extremely hot in the sun and so could be seen as a design flaw. Care needs to be taken with the concrete used on the floor as it gets very slippery when wet. Other than that, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel

Nice, quiet hotel by an amazing beach
Nice, quiet location by an amazing beach, rooms are spacious and comfy bed. guests are reserving beach beds in the morning and 70% of beds are empty most of the day which is frustrating! Reserving should not be allowed and towels should be taken away for people to actually use the beach beds throughout the day. Beach spa is fantastic! Put a box up for tips for all staff as otherwise certain staff might miss out on tips (if you put drinks on room etc)

Excellent stay in Koh Chang
I stayed 2 nights in The Dewa. All staff was nice and attending. We first got room on ground floor but it was quite humid so we asked for another room and the hotel made arrangements right away. I love the way this hotel was organized. It is connected to private beach in Klong Prao which was nice. But it was during rainy season with high waves, so we didn't go into the ocean but stayed within the hotel and enjoyed the pool. They had diverse promotion for hotel sevices including spa and dinner which you must try. I enjoyed the breakfast as well. Chocolate bread, omelette and noodles were delicious.

Staff is beyond friendly . The place has little amount of rooms , so it's perfect cause it's not over crowded. Checkin was a bit hassle. They asked us to present the card we originally booked with room with. We didn't bring it with us . It was a hassle cause we had to log into our online banking and screen shot the original charge , then email it to them. We also had to email the booking confirmarion to them. Still Don't understand why. The room is perfect. Except the bed. The beds were like wood underneath us. The beach dinners were amazing , also very tasty and affordable. We didn't eat out only considering we stayed there three nights (on the island). The hotel takes you to the near by waterfall (it's about half a mile hike/walk) that was nice. Another thing was annoying is that at check in they give you. Voucher for 10% off your first dining, then another 10% then another 20%. Since we ate at the hotel , we couldn't saved money. What they didn't tell me was you have to present it to the staff when asking for the bill. That made me upset because they didn't say that at check -in. And when I brought it up at check out , it was too late. Another thing I was annoyed with was during dinner I ordered wine. Half way and I fought a big bug/insect I'm it. When I brought it up to the waiters attention , he looked me at with a blank stare then said I can take it off ... I'm thinking he's talking about the bill. I said no pleaaw bring me another one. They charged me twice for wine.

The Dewa has a nice location with beach access around 20 minutes drive from the ferry terminal. The hotel has an interesting 'modern Asian' design with a good size pool and spacious deluxe rooms. However the overall 'feel' of staying in the hotel is that the management really put their effort into marketing the hotel above ensuring guests may want to return. Simple things like only providing 1 key for 2 guests staying in the same room and not having nearly enough staff on duty point to cost saving above guest comfort. Upon check in you are given a plastic 'towel voucher' so if you want to swim in the pool you must first redeem your voucher. Sounds simple but in reality the pool is next to reception and the pool bar but neither location will give you a towel. Instead you must walk to the beach bar to get a towel and then walk all the way back to the pool to use your towel. However when I did this the beach bar simple said sorry 'towel finish'. After complaining that I wanted to swim the staff then walked all the way to reception to get fresh towels and ten minutes later I was able to use the pool with my towel... Every night they have a theme dinner. The charcoal grill buffet was 750 baht and comprised a few soggy vegetables and meat of seafood 'on request' and heavily rationed. Luckily we looked at the food before sitting down so cancelled our table before getting fleeced. If you stay here EAT OUT! So in conclusion if you stay here, take your own beach towelsand eat out...

I had a great time at the dewa. The staff was very helpful. Although they misplaced my bag, they immediately rectified it in a friendly anf efficient manner. Super clean rooms, beautiful beach. Great complimentary breakfast. Would 100% stay here again.

Nice hotel near the beach with perfect architectur
