Pocket Guide: Toulouse Balladins Hotels

Over the past three decades, the Balladins hotel brand has grown across France and Belgium, with properties in major cities such as Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse, along with more leisurely destinations like La Rochelle and Brest.

This good value range of two- and three-star properties offers everything the budget-minded traveller could need, including soundproof rooms with complimentary WiFi, flatscreen TVs and a dedicated workspace, plus free morning newspapers and an optional buffet breakfast. Many also provide meeting facilities and secure parking, and some include restaurants and swimming pools.

Stay in a Balladins Hotel in Toulouse

Book a stay at a Balladins property in Toulouse and be close to everything the city has to offer. If you’re here on business, the location of Purpan puts you mid-way between the centre of town and the airport at Blagnac, which is also the home of the headquarters of Airbus and many other associated companies. In Purpan itself is the major Purpan Hospital, as well as the Roman Amphitheatre of Toulouse, which is one of the only virtually complete Roman monuments in the city.

Experience the City Centre of Toulouse

The Purpan neighbourhood is also well connected to the rest of Toulouse, so it’s easy to explore the city centre on even the briefest of trips. Simply jump on a tram at either Arènes-Romaines or Purpan stations and alight at Palais-de-Justice, the final stop, to find yourself in the heart of the city.

From here, it’s an easy walk along Alléee Jules Guesde to the Jardin Royal and the Grand Rond, with its large central fountain. Or head back across the River Garonne over the Pont Saint-Michel and enter the public park of Prairie des Filtres at its southern end. Popular with picnickers, joggers, sunbathers and strollers, this informal park is a great place to catch some late afternoon views back across to the right bank, watch a rugby match on the big screen, or go for a wander along the banks of the river before heading back to your Balladins hotel.
