Very nice hotel on the beach.

Posted 14-Aug-2017
Pros: Proximity to beach and quality of room. Very comfortable beds.
Cons: Better cleaning of the room- especially the floors.
Location: Beach, shops, restaurants, grocery store.
Excellent experience at this hotel. Very friendly staff and nicely decorated rooms. Buffet meal had lots of variety and food quality was superb.

Well located , friendly reception staff

Posted 08-Aug-2017
Had a good stay. Warm and friendly front desk staff- especially Nuria. Good buffet breakfast. Good location. Silly beach towel rule to pay 1 euro to get a clean towel after paying 300 euros per night's stay. Having a shower means bathroom floor flood - should be addressed and add some facial tissue in the room - won't kill Profit. But on the whole I liked the place. I guess the staff made the difference.

Pros: Wonderful facility. Great bartender - knew how to make a traditional margarita and mojito.
Cons: Enforce your own regulations. People brought inflatable toys into the pool and infants in diapers should not be in the pool.
Location: Great location. Best hotel in the area.
A nice stay close to the beach and good restaurants nearby.

Good price, great location, nice rooms

Posted 01-Aug-2017
Pros: Clean rooms, great view, location close to the beach.
Cons: Larger pool and better spa (massage experience was pretty bad)
Location: Close to the beach and shopping/restaurants
Overall we had a great experience. The rooms were comfortable and the view from the balcony was beautiful. It was also a perfect location just steps from the beach and very close to the San Miguel shopping area. My main disappointment was that the pool was so small that all of the chairs would be taken by 9am and so there really wasn't the option to hang out by the pool. Also we did have a massage and it was the worst massage I've ever had (the massage therapist just kept telling me to breath and relax while lightly massaging the surface and then jerking my arms/legs around - rather strange).

Close to the beach

Posted 01-Aug-2017
It was close to the beach but everything within the hotel you have to pay for. Washing your clothes you need to pay €13+ & also for parking you have to pay. The surrounding shops are very expensive so it's advised to go to the centre of the city for food or shopping.

Melia Costa del sol

Beautiful hotel, a stone's throw from the beach. Lovely, helpful staff. Overwhelming choice at breakfast. A great location close to the bars and restaurants along the shore. On arrival we got an upgrade to a suite a lovely surprise We plan to come again next year. Faultless.

Beach front hotel

Great location, love the area, but the hotel was not impressive as I've seen Malia hotels, staff was ok, except for Luis who was the best person during our stay, he made sure if he could, he would solve any issue. Room outdated, and for an ok little better room (same room better painting) they wanted to charge me £20 per night, absurd. Breakfast was included for everyone, a little crouded but food was good, for Spain was ok, but in general good. I said no to recommend this hotel, because there are other places close by that would treat you great and better rooms.

long weekend in Torremolinos

Posted 19-Jul-2017
Pros: location, HB, wifi, beach nearby
I spent in Torremolinos a log wekend. I chose Melia since I know the brand from my other trips. Hotel is very great located in front of the beach (across the street) surrounded by bars shops and restaurants, walking distance to RENFE station in case you plan to visit Malaga or need to get to the airport. The room seem to be a little worn out but overall it has a great balcony with a sea view. I recommend taking delux room (5th floor and above) as they are renovated.

Very good hotel in a great location for the beach and restaurants. the facilities and pool were very good. Only thing I'd suggest is that the room we stayed in needs some modernisation and decoration.
