"Hotel very convenient for the town & harbour. Room lovely with very comfortable bed. Breakfast excellent as always. Booked to come back here in November."

"Lovely, spacious rooms, environment considered (no silly plastic cups/shower caps). I saw the pool and jacuzzi water being tested twice whilst we were there. Only thing was that we had to pay for parking, but that was because we booked with a third party. Book with hotel. Breakfast lovely, maybe a few more pastry/bread choices needed."

"We had a really nice stay at Abbey Sands Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the location was brilliant, just a few seconds from the marina and lots of restaurants. Our room was spacious, tidy and the bed was comfortable. The cot for our baby was a lovely touch, and the bathroom was clean. We also enjoyed the bath! The hotel is a little dated and there’s no lift, which was a bit challenging with a baby and luggage, especially in the hot weather. The room was quite warm, but a fan was provided. The indoor pool was great, although we didn’t get to use the outdoor pool as it was under maintenance. Overall, a pleasant stay with a great location and lovely staff. With a few updates, it would be even better."

"Clean room but bathroom could do with an update. Staff were really friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was no parking, it's a free for all on the road and we had to park in the next road! Apart from that it was great 👍"

"The general decor, walls curtains and carpets are quite dated and worn. It Cld do with a revamp. But it’s clean and fresh feeling despite that and the rooms are really big and the pools are great! It’s a perfect location to walk into Torquay too. Will definitely return."

"Don't let the photos of the exterior fool you, the hotel has been refurbished and the interior is superb. The whole experience was excellent, couldn't really fault the hotel, staff, location, room...all excellent - we will be back !"
