Room in the Tower!
I stayed in the Tower room which was perfect for me as I love anything eccentric . However, it should come with a warning that it is spread over two floors, with the bathroom doubling as the entrance on the lower of the two floors. A very steep and narrow staircase, within the room, leads up to the bedroom which is just big enough to fit a double bed. A second equally steep and narrow staircase leads up from the bedroom to the roof, although the door out onto the outside of the roof is kept shut. The view from the Tower is lovely and the rooms look out in two directions - over the front of the building and also out to sea!
The public areas of the hotel give a nostalgic glimpse into an era that has sadly passed with lounge, bar and dining room, as well as a beautiful stained glass window on the grand staircase all evoking a past age.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay and will remember this hotel for its unique character.
