Good price....not too far from the action.

Posted 27-Aug-2016
Pros: Location and Price
Cons: No view from our room, couldn't change room temperature.
Location: Good location. Walking distance to all the action
We arrived very early to the hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful and let us check in early. The hotel was clean and our room was large. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the Roger's Centre, CN Tower, etc. There are lots of restaurants near by. Staff was helpful with all our questions.

Hotel on good location

Posted 24-Aug-2016
It is on the good place for traveling without your own car (buses, megabus) the room is also good but the security is a bit worrisome: anyone who is not the guest of the hotel can take the elevator on the first floor of the building right to the the hotel floor (the guest's room) without having to pass the lobby first

close to everything

nice clean hotel in the heart of everything. upgraded to huge room the size of a 4,5 appartment, because our room was not ready. the free continental breakfast was good with a waffle maker. staff was really nice and helpful (Wallen). the only negative was finding the hotel parking, on the backstreet behind the hotel, but at $10 a day which was great considering where you are. will definitely stay again

Sketchy

Pros: The price was reasonable and it accepted our dog.
Cons: Ensure the parking lot is lit. Complete the renovations in the lobby.
Location: In the heart of Chinatown, downtown Toronto. Lots of restaurants, shops in walking distance.
The hotel has underground parking for guests. When we arrived the front entrance to the underground parking was closed. The rear entrance had a sign in the way blocking access. When we inquired we were told that we could park down there but that there was no lighting because the owners of the mall the hotel is in had not paid the hydro bill...So we parked in PITCH DARKNESS. Felt completely unsafe. Aside from this the room was adequate - clean, comfortable, nothing special. The hotel hallway near the lobby was under construction - not pretty. We stayed here because the hotel is advertised as "dog friendly". Upon arrival you sign an agreement that you will not leave the dog in the room unattended for more than 10 minutes. While there is obviously a good reason for this policy, it would have been helpful to know about it prior to arrival since it eliminated the possibility of going out for dinner.

Pleasantly surprised

Posted 16-Aug-2016
Cons: The parking garage signage could have been better.
Though the parking garage entrance is quite difficult to find, this hotel was a pleasant surprise. It is in a great, convenient location, with lots of shopping, restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. It was the cheapest 3+ star hotel I found and was a great value for the money. Parking was only $10 a day, paid with your room. The clerk at the front desk was very nice and accommodating and there was a view of the CN tower from our window. It was quiet and comfortable.

Good location.

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Pros: Location. Better price than others in the downtown area.
Hotel is located in a mall in Chinatown so the lobby entrance could have been better marked....doors were locked from the mall side therefore had to exit and use side entrance Rooms are fair regarding cleanliness and comfort. Undergoing renovations....possibly the reason the continental breakfast was in the lobby so it was disorganized, crowded and all carbs (but it was free!) Staff were pleasant.

Serviceable hotel conveniently located.

Old, needs updating and not the cleanest hotel. But we loved the location and the size room for the cost.
