Oasis
We really enjoyed our stay at Borgobrufa. The spa was incredible along with the breakfast, dinner and wine. It is a true oasis.

Beautiful location overlooking the Umbrian hills.
Extremely peaceful. Thistledene was a perfect hotel to relax away the previous few days at a wedding. Chilling by the pool and sleeping in the sunshine. Food simple but enjoyable

Relaxing environment with impressive views
We spent 5 nights here in early October and were blessed by superb weather. The overall experience was peaceful and relaxing. The spa facilities are good and the indoor/outdoor pool is great at this time of the year. The spa staff were very welcoming. The fitness suite was adequate but is without aircon until the spa opens at 9am. The restaurant was good although the menu was not extensive but this was offset by excellent service from the restaurant staff who did everything possible to enhance the experience. The hotel reception area is small and when we checked in and out was understaffed (1 person) which delayed the process. A bit annoying.

If you want a beautiful experience in the Umbrian countryside, while still close to Perugia and Assisi, this is a good choice. It's about 15 minutes driving to both destinations. We enjoyed the stay, the rooms were very nice and spread out nicely across the property with beautiful countryside views. The spa was very nice, great mix of pools, saunas and steam rooms. All very clean. We found the spa treatments to be very expensive for what they feature, when booking a massage pay attention to the actual time of the massage as it can be much shorter than the time time of the overall "experience". The breakfast buffet was pretty good, could be better, but was overall good. We did not have any meals at the resort besides breakfast. Overall, a lovely stay. I would suggest the spa open earlier and close later, otherwise everything was great.

Borgo Brufo Bellissima....but....
Beautiful location for a quiet getaway. The staff is very attentive but a number of points you need to know. The air conditioning in the rooms are very minimal so those that are expecting a cold environment there will be issues. They also do not have fans to circulate air in the rooms... A minor point but sleeping in a muggy room with still air is not my idea of pleasant. Remember that entering the spa and using thelarge heated swimming pool is an extra charge. There is an outdoor pool available that is great though! Be wary and check ahead as this resort is unfortunately a conference center. You get a lot of companies renting large blocks of rooms with many loud and noisy partying types at the expense of their companies... Read... Millinneals and x gen types that have not been taught manners and proper dressing etiquette . The food is excellent and the staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home. Will return in the autumn when the heat has subsided and hopefully the maturity level of the guests.

its a nice hotel, pretty, and nice rooms. a bit far from perugia old town, 30 min taxi ride. my main gripe was that even being a hotel guest, we were expected to pay 40E to use the spa! also the outside pool with jets was part of the spa so we couldnt use that. just the normal pool. this is a rip off if you are staying there. We went there because it was a spa hotel so might as well have stayed in a regular hotel as we refused to pay 80E between us to use their spa facilities. pool very cold.

Nice view of Perugia in distance - near Assisi
We first stayed in 2010 and found the hotel staff very helpful and friendly - so it was nice to see them again in 2012 for our 30th Wedding Anniversary . We love the area it is quite peaceful, The food is excellent although ( evening meal ) maybe on the large side, Michael @ reception was helpful and speaks good English i did manage a few words in Italian, Francesco also helped translate the menu his recomendations were excellent. The pool and Spa are good and always clean. We will go again

Relais Borgo Brufa
Set in a lovely village outside Perugia, within easy access. The grounds are wonderful, the scenery stunning, particularly in the evening. Staff were extremely helpful and professional. Facilities are top class but not over powering!

Excellent base for touring central Italy by car
Wonderful well designed spacious hilltop country retreat complete with spa and magnificent views over Perugia, Asisi and the surrounding vinyards and olive groves. Car (ideally with GPS) is essential for access. We stayed in a quiet period just before Christmas in the snow and ice but the hotel and welcome was warm and friendly. Our room looked out over the twinkling lights of Perugia, 5km away. The room was tastefully decorated in a modern style that reflected the rustic history of this area. The breakfast buffet was truly a feast fit for a King. One of the best we have ever seen in many, many years of travelling. Even though the hotel was quiet due to the off season there seemed to enough food for 100 people! If you are touring by car around Italy, this is a wonderful stop in between Rome and Siena/Florence and is well worth the detour off the main roads.

Loved the location of this place, gorgeous views from every window of our room plus wonderful balcony with great views!!! Very convenient to explore hill towns of Umbria. The room was a little dated and could have been a little cleaner. We tried to schedule a massage in the spa, but they had no evening or morning time available even with 24 hour notice, which was disappointing. Breakfast room also had gorgeous views.

Fantastic!
This is a fabulous hotel in a great location with views towards Perugia and Assisi. The rooms were first class and very clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The pool was quiet and clean with great views and a strict rules about respectful behaviour. It exceeded our expectatioins and was very good value. Definitely a hotel we will return to one day and recommend to others.

Un fantastico soggiorno... come sempre...
Siamo clienti storici del Brufa da più di 10 anni... vederlo trasformato fin dall'ingresso questa volta ci ha un po' spiazzato... forse per noi è stato un po' "snaturato" per quei cunicoli e per il cambio di stile arredamento... prima era un po' più accogliente e intimo... ma parliamo sempre di un posto fantastico dove si mangia benissimo e dove la gentilezza, la tranquillità e il "Benessere" è sempre la prima nota... Anche se abbiamo riscontrato un problema tecnico al bagno turco (funzionava tratti), il rinnovo delle camere e l'ampliamento della SPA con i nuovi punti relax fanno da contraltare al punto di forza di quest'anno, che per noi è sicuramente la "sauna panoramica"... qualcosa di etereo...

Ottima la posizione.. una bella struttura con due belle piscine e una splendida spa. La colazione e’ soddisfacente. Migliorerei qualcosa al ristorante che abbiamo trovato un po lento, la qualità delle portate non in discussione. Avrei aggiunto magari una quarta portata ( frutta o dolce ) alla mezza pensione che non è poi cosi economica. Inoltre per chi soggiorna più di una settimana la scelta delle portate risulta limitata. Piacevole piano bar serale e servizio bar in piscina estiva. Particolare ringraziamento a tutto il personale che abbiamo trovato davvero spendido. Consiglierei questo posto sicuramente ad un amico.

Secondo soggiorno a distanza di 5 anni.....location bella immersa nel verde. Camere spartane minimal.....ristorante buono ma troppo un casermone. Musica dal vivo assordante. Spa bella ma troppa gente: Non c'era un lettino libero x sdraiarsi. Dopo un bagno in piscina sauna e bagno turco.....puoi giusto fare un trattamento ma sono troppo cari. Manca il beneficio dell'acqua termale.

Relax per "palati" fini
Giocando un po' con le parole, il titolo di questo mio contributo intende sottolineare come se da un lato venga assicurato un relax fisico e mentale ai massimi livelli, sia per la cortesia del personale sia per per la qualita' dei trattamenti nella grande SPA, dall'altro si resti sorpresi dal livello della cucina, piatti gourmet in slow food, anche questi accompagnati da personale di sala di esperienza e dai giusti modi. Camere spaziose e con bell'affaccio. Due piccole note critiche. Il WiFi non ha"memoria" del singolo device ed ogni volta ti richiede il collegamento. La doccia in camera ha spazi ridotti per muoversi comodamente....ma si rimedia con le docce della SPA ! In piu' , almeno nel nostro caso, il resort ci ha assicurato anche il bel tempo...4 giorni di splendido e caldo sole autunnale !!

Nel complesso è stato un bel week end, il borgo è delizioso ed i trattamenti sono diversi rispetto alle altre spa, da provarli tutti, le camere sono confortevoli anche se aggiungerei, a mio avviso, più disponibilità di prodotti per il bagno. La cena è ottima e varia, sulla colazione ho qualche riserva, non ho trovato ciò che mi aspettavo, buona si, ma a mio avviso non completa per quanto riguarda il salato. Uno dei nei della struttura è quello di passare dall'esterno per recarti al centro benessere ed al ristorante. Per il centro benessere ci vorrebbe una sala relax più spaziosa e dei punti snack più ricchi.

bel complesso ma consigliato soltanto in estate
bella struttura, belle camere e personale gentile e disponibile. Unico ma enorme handicap: la SPA non è collegata alle stanze. Pertanto dopo aver effettuato una sauna, un trattamento, un bagno nella calda piscina, ti tocca vestirti di tutto punto e soprattutto uscire al freddo e alla pioggia ( come è capitato a me) e percorrere oltre 100 metri prima di raggiungere le camere!!!! Assolutamente contrario al concept stesso del relax da godere in una SPA!!!! Questo problema, a mio parere, rende assolutamente sproporzionato per eccesso il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Super schönes Wellnesshotel
Wir waren drei Ûbernachtungen dort, Wellness und Halbpension dazugebucht. Der Spa- bzw. Wellnessbereich ist klasse und wird von einem professionellen Team gemanaget. Leider ist der Spa-Bereich nur bis 19.30 Uhr offen, was ruhig länger sein dürfte. Die Halbpension war grandios. Meine Frau und ich haben diese abends benutzt. A la carte-Abendessen ist incl., genau so wie das Tischwasser, nur Wein muss zusätzlich gezahlt werden. Wir hatten ein Zimmer nicht im Stammhaus, ebenfalls hat uns auch dieses gut gefallen. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit, rundherum ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Ausflugsemofehlung: Assisi, wunderschön!

Relax nella natura...lasciatevi coccolare
Luogo incantevole e rilassante, spa all'altezza del livello, servizi ottimi e curati, colazione internazionale abbondante. Confort camere ottimo, personale genitle e a disposizione per le varie esigenze. L'unico neo sulla pulizia della stanza. Era gia preparata da qualche giorno....abbiamo trovato un pochino di polvere. Il personale avvisato il giorno dopo ci ha fatto trovare la stanza in otttimo stato di limpidezza. Lo consiglo a tuttti

Super Hotelanlage in Umbrien
Der Empfang, der Service und die Lage der Zimmer in verschiedenen Gebäuden zu 4er Einheiten ist hervorragend. Tolle Aussicht auf die Landschaft und Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse des Zimmers 402. Einziger Schwachpunkt: der hektische Restaurant-Chef.

Ottimo e Rilassante
Immerso nella campagna Umbra, lontano da strade e centri urbani, è il luogo ideale per rilassarsi. Non ci sono insetti e dal balcone della mia camera potevo ammirare sia Perugia che Assisi. Al centro dell'umbria è il punto di partenza adeguato per visitare di giorno in giorno tutta l'umbria, per poi la sera rilassarsi con la piscina o con qualche trattamento nella SPA.
