The not so sweet suite
The desk clerk went to extra mile to help us check into our musty, run down suite. The bed was good and so was the price but the pool was closed and there was trash and cob webs on our deck. The place needs attention.

I booked because of pool and it was closed and looked like it had been for quite some time. Offered to fully reimburse if I could find another place within the next hour but had plans and could not take the time. The kitchen was poorly supplied- no cups mugs or glasses. One fork 2 tablespoons and 2 knives. A few pans , 2 plates and 2 bowls. No toaster and the coffee maker was missing pieces. There was only one bar stool to sit on, although there were several outside the office area for employees to take their smoking breaks. One bath towel, had to ask for more and still only got 1 - there were 3 of us. The first day went for breakfast and was informed that the kitchen person had been in an accident, so no breakfast. Subsequent mornings found all the staff eating breakfast with limited left for guests. The floors were sticky, totally disgusting. The unit above us had someone “stamping out a marathon” for hours on end. For the life of me I can’t imagine what they we’re doing. I have stayed at Hawthorne before and always had pleasant experience. This was the worst place I have ever stayed.

The hotel suite was dirty. It looks great on the outside. The pool was closed in August and the phones didnt work so we couldnt call guest services. The employees didnt have communication so they gave a stranger a key to my room and if not for the deadbolt she would have got in. I wont stay there again

I will not be staying here again they had a fire by the pool area still had stuff all over walk way. Nobody wears uniforms so you don’t know who works there. Placed dirty towels outside of room like I was told the girl never picked them up. I placed them back inside room. The room is not well lit. The fan didn’t work. The free breakfast was a joke.

The staff was wonderful and helpful. Unfortunately I had a lot of interaction with them. The air conditioning did not work (but was fixed) and there was no toilet paper (also fixed)

quality room but facility grounds can be better
This Hotel’s grounds are not up kept like they use to be when I stayed at this location years ago. The landscape was not neat and there seem to be strange people hanging around and cutting the through the property due to some type of open fence. I even saw a Pit Bull dog roaming around the property with no owner. The inside of the room was nice and clean and suitable for a family stay and the kitchen can in handy.But their was a fire they night we stayed and we had to exit out room and that was uncomfortable.

Pool non working due to a fire issue. Rooms were not cleaned daily, phone in room did not work, pull out sofa was broken, and air conditioning was non functioning . Instead room had portable air conditioners and a non working fan which would have been an huge issue if we were to have stayed on the ground floor. We were informed the day of check in about the pool but were understanding after seeing the fire damage. Sadly I’ve stayed here before and it was nicer at the time but I’m absolutely sure this is my last time booking with them.

Clerk said she wasn't sure if the pull out sofa would work or not, that its just the luck of the draw. the toilet paper holder was broken, with the roll stuffed on the remaining end. The woodwork in the bathroom was gouged up and filthy, with the trim on the tub pulled out from the tub in the corner by a good 5 inches. The old shower curtain rod bracket was left on the wall after it was replaced by new one. We were told there was bedding for the sofa bed in the closet, but there wasn't, we had to go to the office to get some. I can not believe this was a Wyndham hotel!! ( I have photos but I don't know how to load them.)

Checking in was without issue. Facility was in very poor condition, pool was not open, amenities were not up to standard. The local manager was terrible to deal with and not interested in helping the guests to resolve issues.

The air conditioner in the upstairs window has a part that hangs out the window and the window isn’t sealed so all the cool are was going right out the window causing the upstairs to be so hot! Then there’s so many bugs that kept getting in! The bedroom light kept flickering i called to get it serviced gentleman said he was coming and never came! Then the downstairs was also warm i called service again they stated they we’re going to send the maintenance man down and they never came! There was a rusted pot that was left on the stove with rusty water sitting in it! There was a filthy shirt hanging on the back of the upstairs bathroom door! Also there was some filthy socks that we’re left in the upstairs drawer! Then at 3am we smelled fire so we came out and walked around buildings to see a fire by the pool area so we called 911 and started knocking on doors letting everyone know the evacuate and pulled the fire alarm to also notify others of a fire going on! My daughter wasn’t able to enjoy her 17th Birthday party! Also online it stated this location has a pool and hot tub this was the main reason we booked to get checked in and put on our swim suits to find out these have been closed down! This was a horrible experience not sure how I’m going to make it up to my daughter and all of her friends that we invited and we had to turn around and have them all picked back up a big inconvenience.

the property is a potential winner, with a little tlc. it definitely has maintainence issues. the pool and hot tub were still covered in mid-July and there was no silverware in the kitchen. the tv remote only worked with some functions, then hardly at all. on the plus side, the room was very large and spotlessly clean. overall, a very good value for the money, I would stay there again!

NOOOOOOO POOL ...... no pool & nobody told us until we went looking for pool in swimwear and found out it was being work on . A pool a big attraction when you have kids & the sleeper sofa was broke , tile falling out ceiling & broken toilet.I have video of broken bed I can only upload pictures

I feel sorry for the folks who work here because it must be difficult handling situations like ours. We checked in at 10 PM after a long day of travel. My husband, me, our 3 teenage daughters and their friend. Our room was a suite with an upstairs king bed, a downstairs king bed, a sofa sleeper and 2 bathrooms. The room was infested with large black carpenter ants, the door jam was broken, the sofa sleeper was broken, and the air conditioning was broken. So they set out to put us in a different room. The only other suite smelled heavily of smoke - which wasn't acceptable for the four teenage girls - one of which has asthma. So there went two rooms. By now it's nearly 11 PM, because we had unloaded our luggage twice at this point. They ended up splitting us up into 2 rooms - which made me a little uncomfortable being the girls were all between 18 and 15 years old. I made sure their door was locked tight before walking across the courtyard to our room. Finally at about midnight I had the chance to go do laundry. The machines worked fine, but there was no change to be found on site - not even at the front desk. So I sent my husband to get change when I discovered I could install an App on my phone and pay through the app. Even the guy at the front desk didn't know that. I felt bad for sending my husband out at midnight to look for quarters. The food was the usual at the breakfast bar - no surprises or complaints there. But the outdoor pool was also broken down so no swimming!

Has potential, but isn't even close yet.
We were just there overnight and the bed was fantastic. The hotel has great potential, but the room needed work. Although it looked like it was just redone, the baseboards didn't match, some of the plaster didn't seem to be in good condition under the fresh plaster, light could be seen around the entire door (which made me very glad not to be there in the winter), lighting was not good for reading, there was only one wastebasket, towels were ok, just ok, and the grounds needed work. I don't think it was done since the spring. I wouldn't stay there twice.

The rooms once you make it past the dreadful exterior, are actually pretty nice. The outer appearance is hideous and unkept. It looks really bad. It was quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They need a groundskeeper and a clean up crew for the outside though. I did not stay a full night.

This property is in terrible condition. I checked out early the next day and would like my money back for the Friday night stay. They do not allow anyone to operate the fireplaces, they are not opening the pool this year. They claim due to no one to run it. I saw several staff members on site. I believe it is due to budget. I took several photos and most are disturbing.

Place is not the same anymore went down compared to 4 years ago. Not clean. Found past guest hair and clothing accessories in room. Floor dirty. Walls dirty. Musty, mildew moisture smell coming from air vents. Refrigerator was dirty. No tv in 2nd bedroom. Terrible!!

Wyndham can do better...
I've stayed at this hotel before with no problems, but there were a few rough edges this trip. The cleaning crew left bleach on the floor of the kitchenette which bleached out the bottom of a pair of socks. The microwave was missingbfrom our room, necessitating the use of the oven... but that had a thick layer of grease on the bottom - looked like someone tried to cook a roast without a pan. Finally, there were no towels. We requested three from the front desk and discovered that they only had two clean ones left. I think the property is likely understaffed, but for $116/nite, they should do better.

The bifold doors to the closet were not in place but propped up against a wall. The stool for the bar was upside down on the bar. The gardens were full of weeds. The woman working in the breakfast room was very disheveled and made us worry about the cleanliness of our food.

I would pay more money and stay somewhere else.
The outside had some trash around, the weeds were very high. The bed was comfy but we felt better using our own blanket. I would not touch the comforter or sut on the sofa/chair. The walls were painted gray and paint chipped off in several places. There was a full kichen and granite counter top there and in bathroom. I would not stay there again. We didn't eat breakfast because we were trying to get ahead of bad weather coming.

I liked that it was close to my business, and the price was reasonable. I didn't like that there were no lights in the living room so trying to use the TV remote was a challenge. I moved the TV for better viewing and it shut off, I discovered it had a bad connection for the power on the back. The first 10 or so TV channels were blank, and as there was no TV channel list to go by, you have to just search. The two closets in the room were off the living room, so again, no lights to see in them. Before going to bed after a 18 hour day, I set up my toiletries in the restroom only to discover there were no bath towels. The front office brought me some, but all I wanted was to get some rest. During my shower in the morning, the phone rang, so I had to answer it wet. Once I got out of the shower, and toweled off, I used the bath towel to mop up some water from me answering the phone. The towel was almost black from mopping up the water. At this point I vowed to not travel again without house slippers. The blinds didn't cover the windows, so privacy was out the window (pun intended.) Someone could literally stand outside the window, and watch everything inside the room. I'm not bashful, but I'm not an exhibitionist either. Needless to say, I won't be staying here again.

The clerk on duty was extremely friendly. However this property is in need of major cleaning. The 1st room we were given was very dirty, dust balls coming out of register vents, duty footprints on floor, bathroom had splashes of who knows what all over, clothes from the last guest were in the closet and besides requesting nonsmoking the room smelled heavily of smoke. Our child has sever breathing issues so we requested another room or canceling our stay immediately. I was told that since we booked through a 3rd party site she would not be able to refund our card. I decided to give them 1 more chance of finding an adequate room instead of going through the hassle of refunding our stay through hotels.com and credit card company. After a bit of looking the clerk was able to move us to an adequate room. Room was still dirty, but not as bad as the 1st. Later that evening our neighbors had a party and got into a 3 am yelling match. The next day we did inquire at the nearby hotels if they had availability, but due to many events in the area all were sold out.

Horrible Hotel Experience
The picture of the hotel is nothing what it looks like to the naked eye. At check-in the desk clerk couldn't get my key card to activate in the box. Finally after about thirty different cards she got one to work. She actually had hundreds of cards sitting out on the counter. Very unorganized and definitely not in a dress code for a hotel. I went to my room and the thermostat was set and stuck on 90 degrees and wouldn't change. Back to the office for a different room and the gamble of getting a card to work for a different room. Same card activation mess. First room was 1114. New room in the very back of the complex next to the extremely loud and busy roadway. Walked in and the room had the smell of mold. I spent the night with absolutely no sleep between the smell, road noise and the over-all experience I was not happy. Honestly I cannot believe Hotels.com advertises this location. I was supposed to spend two days but I checked out after one. Actually in my mind Hotels.com should refund my entire experience and you should visit this site to see what it is like. I found the smell in the second room which was 121. Under the kitchen sink there was standing water and the bottom of the cabinet was all rotted wood. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Just so you know. I have filled out one of these surveys prior to this one but was asked again on a second email. Should check on your internet survey people I think they are asleep at their desk as well.
