The staff was excellent and the hotel itself is organized and clean. I was going to be late to the check in time so I messaged them and they were really helpful and understanding and responded in a timely manner.

In asakusa so if you have the JR pass you will not really use it near the hotel since the nearest line is the Ginza train line. Other than that not a bad area

This was a great location for our stay in Tokyo. The hotel had everything we needed and wasn’t bad at all. It was a great price. The only thing that could have been better was the shower curtain looked like it may have had some mold on it and a little in the bathtub. Other than that no complaints and we enjoyed our stay.

Room was decent and hotel is decorated well but the bathroom in our room REEKED of sewage smell. It was really digusting. No water bottle refill, only plastic water bottle given.

Smelly, not clean
The lobby is nice but the rooms are in rough condition. The bathrooms smell bad and the carpet was dirty - they seem to have trouble cleaning. The air conditioning barely worked - the room was too warm and humid. I found other people's hair on the desk and in the bathroom. The only nice things in the room are the pillows and duvets. I really can't recommend staying here, it's gross. I also stayed in an APA hotel which was amazing in comparison, and it was around the same price.

Location and staffing was great. Cleanliness, however is poor. Can see the dust and dirt around the corners of the room and shower area. The room doors have gaps so you can hear everyone from the hallway, and walls are thin enough to hear the vacuum cleaning and cleaners. Additionally for those that have dust allergies or sensitivity to bedding/rooms, I would avoid this hotel if possible. The duvet sheet was too itchy for me to use. Luckily the hotel had provided thick blankets new from the cleaners, but this shouldn’t have been necessary in the beginning. Also I found bug bites where my allergic reactions to the sheets was; and I wouldn’t be surprised it was from being in the hotel bed.

What a find!!! Rooms small but who cares? Most comfortable bed we had in Japan and by FAR the most economical place. Staff wonderful, bar/restaurant downstairs, close to metro and plenty of food options. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Awful smell
Friendly service, accommodating, however I wouldn't stay again. They seem to have trouble cleaning the bathrooms. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine. It smelled less the next day after house cleaning, but the smell unfortunately returned. I've never experienced anything like this before. I would not recommend staying here - book a room at a APA instead.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the breakfast served at the hotel was good, they have a western style and Japanese style breakfast. We liked both. However, I felt that the hotel needs some renovations as it looked a bit run down. The walls in our room were pretty dirty and in need of a good cleaning. Speaking of the room, it was incredibly tiny which made it hard to move around, even though my daughter and I are both petite women. Overall, while it was a decent stay, I wouldn't recommend it for a vacation trip."

Pretty ok for a budget hotel. The room was larger than I expected(single person in a room). The bathroom was a bit crumpy, especially the sink area. It's a great location to travel by metro and a walk distance from all Asakusa attractions.

Great hotel and friendly staff.
Very easy to check in and the hotel were very accomodating in my requests that I had messaged in before. Staff were friendly and helpful with my requests. I had everything I needed for 11 days that I was there. It was a 10/15 minute walk to Ueno station with a range of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. Great service and stay -thanks very much!

Amazing experience at Agora Place Asakusa Hotel
.I had the best experience at Agora Place Asakusa Hotel. What's not to love: great location, exceptionally helpful stuff, very comfortable bed, and, of course, it was amazingly clean. It is the best value for the money I have ever experienced. I paid only $90 a night. In Chicago USA the same hotel will cost about twice as much. I would definitely come back to this hotel. I highly recommend this place to every traveler.
