May Break in Tokyo

Posted 16-May-2017
Pros: Location, spacious room, well kept facilities.
Cons: nothing. More than happy with the state of things.
Location: Food, shopping and yet more food.
I always return to Keio Plaza whenever I am in Tokyo and it has never disappointed me. The rooms are excellent and the location is wonderful. Could not ask for a better place.

Too big and a bit impersonal ...

Posted 12-May-2017
Pros: Its in a great spot for exploring Shinjuku and it WAS really clean ... but then all the hotels in Japan are really clean!
Great room ... nice and clean with comfy beds and on the bigger side compared with most Japanese hotels but there was just too many people around .. both staff and guests .... to really say that it was an enjoyable stay! The bathroom was well laid out but felt like as if it was not part of the room ... as it it were tacked on!! And if we are being picky the carpet was a bit worn ...

Great Front Desk. Dud Female concierge !

Posted 08-May-2017
Pros: Great location in Shinjuku. right in the heart of everything.
Cons: The Conceirge !
Location: Great location. far too many things nearby and in walking distance. You can stay busy at all hours.
Functionally perfect hotel, with very smart check in staff. But the Conceirge desk is manned by only one person, who either doesnt know much or cannot speak much english or both ! The female concierge is excruciatingly slow and uncannily useless with any facts, suggestions or help. poor woman ! Very very bad restaurant / bar on the top floor (42nd, i think), avoid if its not too late.

Close enough to fun, far enough for peace

Posted 04-May-2017
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is about 3-4 blocks away from the busy Shinjuku subway station and surrounding shops. This was an ideal walking distance to get to the action but also let us stay far enough away to get some peace and quiet with minimal light pollution at night. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a slightly larger room for free which was a big plus. Would definitely stay there again if given the opportunity.

train station and shopping malls are within 10 min walk, but quiet, quite old though, but good in condition makes it still looks like not old. relatively big compared to other hotel rooms in hk.

Excellent stay at Keio Plaza Hotel, Shinjuku

Posted 01-May-2017
Pros: Breakfast buffet in Glass Court and Japanese restaurant on 7th floor were especially noteworthy.
Cons: First night was in super large suite in older tower that needs renovation.
Location: Shinjuku train station very convenient, Shinjuku Koen (park) and many local restaurants and high-end to convenience stores are nearby.
Absolutely great hotel. Staff are super polite and attentive, and rooms and restaurants top notch. Super convenient subway station next door! Only wish underground concourse from West plaza of Shinjuku station also had a moving sidewalk going to the station.

Another pleasant & comfort stay

Posted 29-Apr-2017
Pros: Spacious, comfortable, clean, easy access to public transport & post office and feel like home.
Cons: Maybe can allow customers to bring back the hotel card key (at least one) and not asking to return.
Location: Yodabashi and BIC Camara are nearby and walking distance to Shinjuku Shopping area.
We have stayed in this hotel when we first visited Tokyo in 2015. We had a good experience then and we have decided to stay in Keio again in our recent trip. We have chosen the Grand Premium Floor this time as these were newly renovated though pricy. We were greeted well and carefully attended when we checked in at Level 45. A good headstart! The room was spacious and well decorated and equipped. The bed was comfotable too. The bathroom and the WC were separated which we thought were fantastic. We have access to the club lounge at Level 45 where we also had our daily breakfast. Unfortunately, during our 4 days stay, the breakfast menu remained the same. No complains as they were filling. Check out was fast also at Level 45. However, we were abit disappointed when we were not able to keep the room card key for souvenir as the staff requested for return which usually not the case from other hotels. The stay was however pleasant and comfortable.

Great hotel, good location near main train station

Posted 25-Apr-2017
Pros: very clean, the staff very helpful, good location
Location: close to Shinjuku main station - so easy to get everywhere, we had a JR rail pass which made getting around nice and easy on all JR train lines
Hotel is lovely, great staff, very friendly, helpful and polite. Location is close to the main train station, you can walk underground all the way, easy to get around.
