"Spent 2 nights in a King Suite. I found the room to be clean and comfortable, good water pressure and no "mildew smell" as some others had mentioned. In fact, it smelled like glass cleaner and the mirrors were sparkling. There is a nice fish cleaning station with crab cooker and picnic table. My room was on the bottom level, and at 4:00 am you could hear the toilets flushing and people coming down the stairs to go fishing. I don't blame this on the hotel - some folks just don't have the common courtesy to keep quiet during early hours. Thankfully, I was fishing that day as well so it wasn't a bother to me. Others may have felt different! Overall, my stay was enjoyable and I will return for another stay!"
"Very nice staff and very cute and cozy rooms. Everything was clean and maintained. The little coffee shop makes a decent coffee too. Overall it was a good stay for a decent price."
"I LOVE LOVE LOVE staying here! I’ve stayed here more than 6 times and it’s just the best. So clean, SO CLEAN, you will get check ins from management to make sure you are good, checking in is so easy…. It’s my favorite place. I truly don’t revisit anywhere I’ve been because it’s fun to explore! But I’ve been here so many times and it’s the absolute best!!!!!!! I highly recommend this place. It’s truly my happy place, clean, quiet, you get to see the seals and fisherman coming and going, it’s just awesome. It’s my happy place and the staff make it so special!!!"
"The upgrades to the hotel give it a homey but beachy feel. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The patio, gas fire pit, and access to the on site coffee stand and water front seating were an added bonus."
"Staff were very friendly. Hot tub in room and laundry site were a bonus especially traveling with kids. It’s a revamped Motel 6, so you get what you pay for. Overall, very pleased with staff, site location and cost."
"I loved being close to the beach…It wasn’t viewable but was walkable. The beach was very quiet. Westport was about 4 miles north. We really enjoyed seeing the fishing boats and watching them return laden with fish…watching people use the crab traps…there are different areas to walk out over the water to enjoy the bay… also plenty of fresh seafood to taste!"
"The Ocean Avenue Inn was just what I needed for this trip. Give us a place to stay it gave us a place to sleep before an early morning fishing trip yesterday."
"Great location! Could walk/bike to shops, pier, beach.
Walls and floors insulation is poor. We could hear other guests ( TV, conversation, footsteps)."
