"A wonderful holiday at the Eveleos Country House"
We had a wonderful stay at the Eveleos Country House hotel. The directions from the airport were easy to follow and we arrived at the beautiful village of Tochni. We stayed in a lovely apartment with private terrace and small pool that we had to ourselves most of the time. The owner had left us some bread, water, eggs and milk which was a really thoughtful gesture. We also had pastries left one evening and on our last night we were treated to Brandy Sours on the terrace - a typical Cypriot drink.
The location was great for seeing the whole of the island and we went hiking in the mountains a number of times and also went up to the Avakas Gorge and Lara Beach which was a lovely day. Our favourite walks were the the Caledonia falls which goes out of Platres and the Madari Mountain trail which is just near Spilia.
We had dinner in the local taverna in Tochni village square which was great value and tasty food.
Overall it was a great stay in a lovely place.
Was very happy with our stay. I wish there had been smaller blankets to use while kicking back and taking an afternoon to read. The small village was not touristy, yet close enough those areas to visit without a struggle. Do rent a car, go explore. the smaller villages are so interesting and so much worth the effort of visiting. GO!
We were four families and stayed for a week at Cyprus villages.
We had a wonderful time!
The village is beautiful, the rooms are tidy and very clean. Each room has a kitchen. Most of the rooms have a private swimming pool.
The service was very good!
the food is oriental ( there are few good taverns in the village)
Just be ready to climbe a lot...
This guest house (let's not call it a hotel--it isn't) is absolutely wonderful. It has a traditional feel to it, and you're in the midst of this small and very friendly village. Terrific atmosphere, very comfortable, by far my favorite stay in Cyprus!

These traditional self catering flats were comfortable but lacked some basic things like that would have made the stay a little easier.Bathroom contained shower which because of its design managed to flood the bathroom when ever used. kitchen in studio flat very small but usable if you moved things around. Only two hobs to cook on , no grill ,oven or microwave.
The web page implies that their are two swimming pools ( there is only one )and that flats look out onto it. This is not the case as it depends on which flat you book as they are on both sides of the street.
Owner was helpful and people in the village were very friendly. Not much in the village except a corner shop and a couple of places to eat but there's a supermarket about 2-3 miles up the road . Great eating place up above the Church in the village square. The food was wonderful and reasonable in price, everything cooked fresh to order.
Overall a nice place to stay if you want peace and quiet away from it all for a few days.

Tochni, a small and picturesque village, lies between Larnaka and Limassol. Set on the slopes of two hills, its stone-built houses line the narrow streets that wind their way to the beautiful church of Saints Constantinos and Eleni. A local supermarket, coffee shops, and a bank mark the village square.
