Beach was amazing and fun for kids in the waves and there were beautiful sunsets! The room was very basic, but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was more updated, and the shower was fantastic pressure. Gorgeous pool and lounging areas. Breakfast area was beautiful, and lots of locals foods, and also options for kids.

I stayed in my room for three days and I had to asked for my room to be cleaned. It took them almost the entire day to come clean and change linen. Cleanliness is essential and for that I would never go back to that hotel again. Terrible place

Check in and check out were easy. Room was decent. Pool was very enjoyable. Bartenders and drinks were excellent. Breakfast was not that great even though there was a large buffet. The food was not appetizing or tasty. Also not many options during the daytime so we left the hotel to get lunch and dinner. Hotel was quiet and staff friendly. I stayed here before and would stay again. Just know that you need to have a car to get around especially if you don’t like the hotel food and you want options. There’s a Pizza Boys close by and a great beachfront bar (Anchor Beach Bar) about 1 minute drive away from the hotel with nice food options. Other than that, I definitely recommend the accommodations.

Overall it was good. Service was good and staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was amazing. Rooms and entire building need to be updated. It’s very dated. There is so much more that can be provided by this resort. Very good layout to have good entertainment and other services that visitors can enjoy.

The facility was clean, walking distance to the beach, the staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good. Overall, very pleasant. The Wi-Fi was sketchy and the television channels could be upgraded.

Overall the stay at the property was great, the staff was pleasant and accommodating. We only used the restaurant facilities onsite for breakfast which was 10/10. And had dinner at Waves Rest on the beach, which was walking distance away. That was also pretty good. The property is a bit dated and needs some love, but that didn’t make the stay any less enjoyable for me. I chose the ocean view, which I didn’t regret at all. Black rock and environs is so scenic and there’s a lot of really nice beaches close by. Would definitely stay at Grafton again!

Oct 2023. This is my 2nd stay at Grafton. I returned especially because of the divine breakfast and their wonderful hospitality. Their Chef goes above and beyond to deliver the best meals. The rooms are in need of renovations , the linens and floors were clean with comfortable beds. The dining area is huge and also clean with a spectacular view . The pool is gorgeous and huge . Waves restaurant is also across the street. I would definitely visit again.

When we arrived at Grafton at 3pm to check in, our room was not ready, which we used as an opportunity to get some food. The room was ready when we came back, however, the bed was not made properly, as half of the mattress was uncovered. The table in the room only had one chair for 2 guests. Housekeeping did not remove old towels, did not restock tea/sugar etc., did not give us clean cups - it seemed as though they were just washed in the bathroom sink. The server at breakfast did not know the difference between fried and scrambled eggs. But overall the front desk was very responsive. The property itself needs a facelift.

This hotel has so much potential. Extremely run down. Something as basic as air condition was not working properly. The ac unit looks like its been there since 1990. The floor tiles in the rooms need to be upgraded. The bathtub needs upgrading. Very limited tv stations. The decorative bricks need to be power washed. The breakfast is nothing special. The staff however are friendly. Didnt use the pool but it looks nice and well kept. There's no elevator. I had to climb stairs with a 6 month old baby. This property is still in 1990.

We had a great stay at Grafton. It's a good location with nearby beaches and points of interest. Helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Our stay was overall excellent. We plan to come again in the near future.

The breakfast was horrible, the coconut bake was stale, the smoked herring was hard and dry, the melongene was sour, the coffee tasted nasty, the pancakes had no baking powder and was not fluffy. I refused to have that breakfast another day. The welcome drink was concentrated fruit juice with tap water. I was overcharged on my credit card. The landscaping was awful. However, the staff were nice but seemed to be demotivated. There was no international standard and will never recommend or return there.
