The hotel itself was very ornate and traditional. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy during our stay as there was a presidential rally taking place in the large plaza outside.
You cannot drive right up to the door of the hotel as the hotel is off a street which is for pedestrians only, so you have to carry your bags a block to get to the front door. The staff help you when you are leaving.
Our room never got cool enough at night. We asked them twice to look into the cooling system, but they were not able to get it cooler, even though we ran it at 50 F, it probably never got below 74.
We did find a fan in the closet when we were packing to leave. We asked at the desk if we could get a room fan, and they said they didn't have any, so not sure why they said that.
The bed and room were very good otherwise. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic!
The staff were very helpful and considerate.
The snacks put out in the lounge could have been better, but they were free, so...
The restaurant was good, but not real Mexican food, for that there are a number of good restaurants within walking distance.
I'd definitely stay there again, but I would get the fan out at night.
