"We stayed at the mill hotel for our wedding anniversary we have been staying at this hotel quite frequently for over 10 years after it was recommended to us by a friend...the hotel is lovely and welcoming...the staff can't do enough for you....the breakfast is very good buffet service offering a good choice.. the bar is very nice and the rooms lovely and warm will definitely be returning soon.the only thing to bear in mind is if you have a car and require parking there is an extra charge if you dont book through the hotel directly..."
Village Hotel St David's, Nr Chester

"Had not expected the £7.50pn parking fee, must have missed it on the website. Upgraded £10pn to Club room to include parking, plus water and coffee machine/tea in room but there is only one can of water per guest on the first night, we had expected water each day as you normally get at hotels of this price bracket (have stayed in hundreds of hotel through work and that would be the norm). Tea/coffee (decent) was replenished though. We got delivered shower floor towels rather than hand towels both days, which was curious. The hand towel we requested the first day was removed. Breakfast was fine (apart from inedible hash browns). Bar food, drinks and sports viewing were enjoyable – worthwhile discounts via the app. Staff very friendly and helpful, good location for access to motorways/A roads. An upgrade of rooms for a/c some time would be welcome."
Nunsmere Hall Hotel

"Well-placed hotel as a stopover en-route to Cruising from Liverpool. The Dining room lacked atmosphere, had a limited menu choice, though evening meal was well presented and tasty, but was rather expensive. ‘Petunia’ Bedroom was of a good size, had excellent views of the extensive gardens and was very clean - it would not be ideal for disabled due to a small staircase leading to the room and another just inside the room. Documentation provided clearly indicates the potential charges associated with a lost Room Key or Toiletries taken from the room and a discretionary 10% Service Charge added to all Restaurant and Bar bills."

"Don’t get me wrong, it’s rustic and charming with an interesting history and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was made to order and Sunday roast was impressive. All that’s good, but wear earplugs if you’re planning to get any sleep! The mattress was saggy and had very pokey springs. The location made it very noisy - weekends there are people partying in the streets until 3am and Monday at 4:30am the street-cleaner starts cleaning the block. Also the walls are really thin and we could hear the guy next to watching TV all night. The original plank floors are really squeaky too. Loved the old world look of the place, but wouldn’t stay there again."

"Stayed in room 53. Located at the top of the manor and a short walk from the front desk, very nice room. Large bathroom with walj in shower and bath. This is a very hot room, I had to plug a dab in to keep cool."
Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa

"The carpark was very busy over the weekend and, after a long day out, we were forced to park as far away from the hotel as was possible. Weddings and the attraction of the spa probably accounted for this. The food was more than average except for the breakfast which was excellent. The staff, to my knowledge without exception, were very welcoming and noticeably hard working. The room was slightly more spacious than average with spotless facilities and a comfy bed (single). So, for the most part this was a great place to say for four nights. However, if you're averse to dogs, despite those we encountered being well behaved and quiet, this wouldn't be the best place for you."
