The sandy shores are a short walk across the street, and the main hub of Oceanside is within walking distance. Although there are numerous delicious dining options in the region, a well-equipped kitchen (major and small appliances included) sits inside this beautiful rental awaiting home-cooked meals to be prepared and enjoyed at the dining table for eight. Play board games and eat meals at the dining room table for eight. Relax and spend quality time together in the living room with the woodstove crackling away and a movie on the flatscreen streaming through Roku TV. A DVD player is attached so you can have movie nights, and a Bluetooth stereo and WiFi mean you can crank up some tunes while socializing. Upstairs in the open loft is a king-size bed and modern armchair facing stunning ocean views. Two can sleep up here, while seven more can sleep among the first-floor bedrooms. One features a queen-size bed, a second has a full-size bed, and the last has a set of twin bunk beds and a single twin bed. After a fun-filled day, come home to a hot meal, a fresh load of laundry, and sounds of the ocean from the wrap-around balcony. The view from the patio is completely unobstructed, and we really enjoyed watching the sunsets. The house itself is well-maintained, and having a dedicated parking space right in front is a bonus, especially compared to other homes nearby. As with many rentals, the cleaning company seems to focus on what's visible, but that’s no fault of the homeowner or rental agency. They were fantastic to work with throughout the process. Pros • The location was excellent • View was great • Furnishing were plentiful but had seen a lot of use • Space was good but split over 3 floor • Easy access to lovely beach Cons • It was dirty….and I mean dirty. All dishes had to be washed before using • Pots and pans needed to have stuck food scrubbed off • Table had hair and syrup on it • Floor had dirt everywhere • Sheets had sand in them • Shower had giant hairballs • Wall have massive spider webs • You get the point… Yes, I contacted Vacasa and was ensured by two people (corporate and local) that nobody should experience that and the cleaning crew would be out next day to clean….never happened. Which is what happened last time I rented last time I rented from. They respond but don’t actually do anything. So just be aware if you rent from them ##### Scott F. We loved having a garage (parking is at a premium, esp. on a weekend) and 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is very functional and there are plenty of utensils and dishware. Dishwasher and the washer/dryer downstairs are modern and work great. With that said, the place is getting worn down. It needs some overall TLC - esp for a higher priced unit like this one. However, we had issues with accessing the house and wifi (the code/info provided before check-in was incorrect) and the house was not totally clean when we checked in, despite having a very strong bleach smell for the first whole day we were there. The booklet that is supposed to provide helpful info about the house was pretty useless - it had completely incorrect info for how to access the wifi and says the kitchen appliances are self -explanatory, which is totally untrue in the case of the oven. In addition, house needs a little TLC to repair some things that are starting to show wear and tear - for example, several of the window screens had holes in them, the shower curtain rod is being held together with tape, many of the hooks in the bathroom are starting to come loose from the wall, the tile grout in the downstairs shower is crumbling and mildew stained, and there is a loose piece of wood at the top of the stairs that is a bit of a tripping hazard... just to name a few. Vacasa was quick to respond when we needed assistance getting into the house and with the cleanliness issues, but because there is no cell service near the house it was difficult to find a way to call them without proper wifi access info. ##### Stacy V. The house was clean and had magnificent ocean views. We were disappointed the wood provided did not fit in the small-sized fireplace and there was no additional firewood in the garage (as the instructions stated). We emailed vacasa but the issues was not resolved. Our children were very disappointed as they were looking forward to making fires. The kitchen was well equipped. The radiant floor heating was warm and cozy, although it would have been nice to have an area rug for sitting on the floor to play a board game or do some yoga stretches, etc. There were also a few cleaning issues. ##### Amy B. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house on 3 levels is across the street from the beach w/ large deck to enjoy 180' views of the ocean including 3 Arches. It is well appointed nestled in small community of Oceanside, Oregon which is very quiet & perfect for getaway from the city. There are two cool restrunats about a block at end of the street & only 2 miles to Netarts w/ well known eatery that has large deck for eating outside. We recommend it highly! The house also has a backyard patio with barbecue and spacious dining table. All the details (entertainment, appliances, kids activities) are very well thought, including office space. This makes this place perfect for family vacation as well as working while away from home. We stayed here several times and always had great experience. Hausbauer is our number one choice when we visit Oceanside, OR.
