Not worth the dollars
Not worth the almost $80 a night charge for a room that's old and mouldy with no air conditioning in the heat of Kerala. Much better options available elsewhere in this town for the same price and even less where you can find better conditions with professional and courteous staff.

Ayurvedic Centre on cliff top with access to beach
I stayed here for the first 10 days in December 2015. The resort was a bit difficult to find in amongst a sparse neighbourhood that was quiet. I did not take the Ayurvedic Package but had booked room with breakfast only. I stayed in Room 20 quite close to the reception area. The room was a basic room and being on ground floor attracted a lot of creepy crawlies which was my only concern and criticism. The building is surrounded by lush greenery and trees and plants which combined with frequent rain (rained most of the time I was there) lends itself to increased appearances from mosquitoes and other insects which could interfere with enjoyment. The eating area is also outside (shack type setting) which again attracts crows etc but it is something one gets accustomed to. I think the hotel could do more in terms of making it pest free, only requires a small amount of effort and minor repairs which could make a big difference though. Had to put up with a few electricity cuts during stay but the benefit of being in a room near the reception area is that you get wifi and internet access which is not available in other parts of the resort. The resort is small with limited rooms so there can be a nice family type feel and safe environment. The food was good and cheap and chefs were very accommodating in cooking dishes to your requirements. All /kitchen staff and waiters were most pleasant. The resident doctors also very pleasant and had always had time to talk. Had a good holiday!

i really enjoyed oceano.it was off season and i had hotel to myself.hotel very comfortable with a nice homely touch.the staff unreal and super friendly.made it real easy for me as i was recovering from hip surgery indian people kind and friendly!!

Rustic, Chilled and Friendly
I stayed in the older building which is more rustic than the new place along the road. I was solo in a double room, fan, no a/c, it was comfortable, quiet and clean, although it would be cosy for two people and there's little storeage area for clothes. I loved the chilled location, cliff-top overlooking the Arabian Sea, with access by steps to quiet beaches. Great food, friendly service. I didn't partake in the yoga or treatment as I was just there for 4 days. Its just a 20 minute walk (or cheap tuk-tuk)to the busier beach and restaurants in the North Cliff town

Very nice place to stay with great service, food and surroundings. The personnel was very attentive. Rooms are not particularly luxurious or modern, but have everything you need. Though a little too expensive if compared to other places nearby with similar properties. Anyway enjoyed my stay a lot!

Schöne Aussicht
Wir hatten eine Loft und ein großes Komfort-Doppelzimmer mit Blick über den Garten auf's Meer. Das war echt genial. Die Loft und das Doppelzimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und müßten m. E. dringend renoviert werden. Eine Klimaanlage würde dem Komfort nicht schaden. Der Preis für die Unterkunft finde ich ziemlich überteuert. Selbst in Delhi liegen die Preise für ein DZ im 5 -Sterne Hotel unter dem Preis des Oceano Resort. Was etwas unangenehm aufgefallen ist, waren die begrenzten Öffnungszeiten Restaurant und die hohen Preise für die doch sehr eingeschränkte Auswahl an Speisen und Getränke. Wir sind dann abends am Strand entlang zum North-Cliff und haben dort gegessen. Das South Cliff ist sehr abseits. Das muss man mögen.

Wunderschöne Hotelidylle über einer atemberaubenden Klippe mit sehr schönem Strand. Ein perfekter Ort zum Wohlfühlen und sich erholen. Gutes Personal und schöne Zimmer. Sehr zu empfehlen. Ich bin bereis 7 oder 8 mal hier als Gast und kann das Hotel Oceano sehr empfehlen. Ayurvedische Massagen und Beratung waren sehr gut. Ich geniesse es jedes Mal sehr und tanke auf. Doris, Schweiz

Terrible
The rooms are totally overpriced. Some of the staff are unfriendly, indifferent and lazy. It is dirty and the nobody seems to take care of the property. The way leading down to the beach is full of stones and leaves. It is a shame as the location would be very nice.

Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel.
Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel, über eine Treppe kann man direkt an einem menschenleeren Strand kommen, wäre die schönsten Sonnenuntergänge und Naturerlebnisse bietet. Mit etwas Glück kann man sogar Delphine im Sonnenuntergang am Meer sehen. Sehr idyllisch gelegen.

Prachtig uitzicht, rustig strand, mooie kamers
The Oceano is een prachtig gelegen hotel aan één van de mooiste stranden van India. Je ontbijt met zicht op zee en via een kleine trap daal je af naar een rustig strand. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en de kamers zijn ruim. Sommige kamers bieden een terras met zicht op zee, perfect voor yoga-oefeningen of lezen.

Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen und ich kann mir gut vorstellen wieder zu kommen. Bei meiner Bewertung habe ich berücksichtigt, das es ein Hotel in Indien ist und im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels ist das Angebot super.

Enkelt hotell av guest house-standard. Mycket vänlig och hjälpsam personal, ordnar ALLT från läkare till utflykter. Egen restaurang med buffefrukost, gäster från näraliggande guest-houses äter ofta på Oceanos restaurang. Alacarte lunch och middag med begränsat utbud (Indien oftast vegetariskt och kyckling, ej alkohol). Städning och byte av sängkläder varje dag, takfläkt (ac rum finns). Ayurvedabehandlingar av hög klass tillgängliga, stor swimmingpool, fri WiFi i allmänna utrymmen. Notera att detta är ett guest-house, nära naturen, vilket innebär att det finns småkryp överallt. Om man kräver europeisk standard är detta hotell inget för dig - Kan Rekommenderas.

Ligger lige ned til en super skøn strand. Lidt væk fra det mere hektiske område på nordklippen.Følte til tider at vi havde stranden for os selv.En frodig tropisk have omkranser selve hotellet, med mange lækre små skygge steder.Herfra kunne iagttages delfiner og rovfugle.Hotellet servere ikke alkohol - desværre.

Ich war mit meiner Tochter (27) in 3 Naechte in diesem Hotel. Es ist wunderschoen gelegen und das ganze Personal war sehr freundliche. Ich kann dieses Hotel nur empfehlen. Die Preis-Leistung stimmt perfekt. Da wir in der zwischensaison da waren, wurde leider kein Yoga angeboten.
