It makes a fantastic location for families, friends and couples with the Bothy situated on the edge of The North York Moors National Park with its beautiful scenery, walks and fantastic cycle trails.

In addition, the North York Moors has recently been designated as an International Dark Sky Reserve, one of only 19 in the world meaning the moors is one of the best places in the country to see the stars, so why not make a flask up and head to the hills for a wonderful star gazing evening. The bustling market town of Thirsk, with its cobbled streets, is famed for its connection with James Herriot, a commanding 15th-century church, and the well-known racecourse which lies just 6 miles away.
